Back from 3D ultrasound

Megan wasn't cooperating too well for us to be able to get some good profile face shots but we got one. I won't be able to show it to you til tomorrow because I'm at home and I don't have a scanner here. Sorry.

We now know why I have shart shooting pains way down low all the time....she's REALLY REALLY low down there. Doctor told the technician..."let me see that again...where is she in comparison to the birth canal?". Then he said "OMG!". Nice, huh? Kylie was low but apparently not as low as what Megan seems to be.

The weird thing is her legs are way up near my rib cage area..not that close but really close. I have no torso region I guess..this poor baby has no where to go, lol.

Megan weighs approximately 2.21 pounds. That seems like a lot to me. Does it to you? The tech said it's average so it's ok, but for some reason that shocked me when he said it. I still have 12+ weeks to go.

I wish we could have gotten a better profile pic but she had her face smashed up nicely against my uterus.

I'm not sure what to think of the placenta issue. It's definitely not placenta previa, which is good. They said it's on my side...right side I think. He couldn't venture a guess as to whether they still consider it low-lying or not. He said that would be for my doctor to tell me and she wasn't there. The doc who actually delivered Kylie was in the room earlier on but had to leave. Bummer. I was really hoping to have a final on that issue. I asked the nurse to leave a message for my doc and see if she'd let me know those results sooner than my next appointment which isn't for another two weeks.

Didn't get to make sure she had all 10 fingers and toes so I'm hoping they are all there. Her spine is beautiful, no issues there. Her brain looks beautiful and the blood flow transfer in the brain is excellent. Her heart looks excellent and the blood flow was excellent there as well and so was the flow in the umbilical cord. Her heart beat was beautiful sounding at 143bpm. So all that said....I guess all 10 fingers and toes are there.

Kylie did fairly well. A lot better than expected.....bribery worked great for about 5 minutes (candy)....then she was a bit antsy but we worked through it. I just can't believe she looks so much like Kylie...from what we can tell. Her nose and mouth structure look identical.

It's amazing how much Giselle looks exactly like Jaci did at that age. I wonder if they'll still look alike as Giselle gets older? Maybe Kylie and Megan will too!
