PrairieMom wrote: Miss Ally is looking good.
I thought she was small, and I was right, she is 12 pounds 7 ounces, and has fallen from the 50th percentile into the 25th, but the Dr wasn't concerned.
She said that even tho We are batteling thrush she is encourageing me to continue BF (which totally annoys my DH) rolleyes.gif I think he was seretly hoping that the Dr would tell me to quit and I would feel compelled to follow that advice. laugh.gif
The heart murmur is still there, but it is quiet, and the Doc isn't to concerned about it, so we won't have to see a cardiologist. (thankfully) at least until next time.
She is meeting all her mile stones, and got her shots! busy morning! laugh.gif Now she's napping. She is exhausted.

coasterqueen replied: WTG Ally!

Um, why would your Dh want you to quit? If my DH wanted me to quit I would quickly give him ALL feeding/bottle duty and I'd get LOTS of sleep. laugh.gif

luvbug00 replied: Glad to hear all is well. My brother has had a slight murrmer his whole life. Hope hers is as simple. wink.gif

PrairieMom replied:
He is sick of dealing with the thrush too. he doesn't understand the logic that I am BF to make her healthy, but it is making her sick... blahblah.gif really, if I could get her to take formula, formula feeding would be way easier. He also thinks it would help her sleep through the night better. rolleyes.gif

coasterqueen replied:
Ok, slap him for me for that comment. rolleyes.gif

PrairieMom replied:
I have one too. Thats why I'm not suprised she has one. It doesn't seem to be hurting her tho, she is one strong little peanut!

PrairieMom replied:
Yeah. dry.gif He wants me to start giving her cereal in her bottle to help her sleep. dry.gif
Never mind all the problems we had with The Boy after we started solids on him... we are STILL dealing with his constipation and poo hoarding issues. Do we not learn our lesson? Good grief.

Not to mention that I am the one that has been getting up 3 times a night with her to feed, not him. rolleyes.gif

BabyOwen427 replied: Keep on bf her. By switching to formula you are only helping her in the short term (thrush) but by continuing to bf you are helping her for life. thumb.gif Keep up the good work.

MyLuvBugs replied: Sounds like a great appointment! WTG! thumb.gif

A&A'smommy replied: awwwwieee she is tiny little thing love2.gif Sounds like its was a great appointment!!

CantWait replied: Sounds like you have a great doctor Tara. Glad everything went well today.

PrairieMom replied:
Yeah, I was really suprised. I was fully expecting a lecture on how she is small, and needs to eat more, start solids and start supplimenting blahblah.gif blahblah.gif blahblah.gif blahblah.gif blahblah.gif and I totally didn't get that. I was impressed. I guess that is one of the benefits of working in the hospital with these Drs, is that you know who is good and who isn't. thumb.gif

holley79 replied: WTG Ally. Glad her appointment went well. Sounds like a very busy morning. hug.gif

ETA: I just realized she was 4 months old. Where the heck di dthe time go? wacko.gif

PrairieMom replied: I know. blink.gif She's actually 4 1/2 months old. laugh.gif

Boo&BugsMom replied: Aww, what a trooper! Glad to hear she's doing great!

Calimama replied: I love it when doctor's appointments go well! That's such a cute picture in your siggy btw.

siblingtooolivia replied: Don't worry about her being small - Olivia at age 4 years 5 months weighs 32 lbs with her clothes and shoes on.....BUT she gains weight steadily every year and also grows inchest steadily every year - some are just small....and Olivia is actually a very healthy little girl - gets sick maybe 2xs a year and usually it isn't anything major!!

WTG Ally!

PrairieMom replied:
I just look at it like it is more opportunity for us to wear her cute tiny clothes! The Boy was barely in his 0-3 stuff at all, and after 4 months Ally still fits in them! laugh.gif
