Back from our family vacation

I'm getting tired though, so I thought I would post then go to bed.

We got back from our family vacation about 7:45 pm tonight. We had loads of fun. We left Saturday for down south Missouri. When we hit St. Louis Dh said "too bad we didn't get tickets to see the Cardinals play" and I replied "so let's go get bleacher seats". He QUICKLY swerved to catch the exit and in no time we were watching the Cardinals beat the New York Mets. YAY! YAY!! Hee hee. Sorry to any Mets fans. Gotta love those Cardinals!!!! . I think we were crazy for going because Kylie hadn't taken a nap yet. She finally fell asleep the 8th inning though. We paid way too much money for the tickets but we had fun and it was worth it because they one. Plus I actually found on street parking so we didn't have to pay $10+ to park which was awesome.

We swam every day at the hotel. Every time we'd go by the pool Kylie would get excited and yell "SWIMMING".

Sunday we went to the St. Louis Zoo. We had a great time the first part of the day. It was a nice day, not too hot. It wasn't til the afternoon Kylie started having constipation problems and we had to leave. She was crying and screaming "Poop". We felt so bad for her so we left and went back to the hotel so we could give her a warm bath. She ended up poo'ing and felt better after that. Poor girl. It was still a fun day, though.

Monday we went to Six Flags. We could have really skipped that as there isn't a LOT to do for toddlers, but we still had fun and rode what rides we could. I was a bit sad because I couldn't ride some of the rides I wanted to. Hee hee. Doctor gave me restrictions not to ride any rides except baby rides and I guess rollercoasters don't count. Anyways, we ate good food and walked a lot too. Kylie met a little girl at the water park and was playing with her until she scared her away. Kylie being the spirited child she is is so loud and wired that the little girl got scared of her. I felt so bad for Kylie. She just wanted to play with her and this girl just wanted to get away from her. I sure hope this isn't a sign of her future with friends.

Tuesday (today) we went to see the Wiggles. That was fun. Kylie seemed to enjoy herself, but DH and I both thought the show wasn't as exciting as we thought it was going to be. It wasn't a very energetic show at all. We thought Sesame Street Live was much much more energetic than the Wiggles. Kylie and I got to see Jeff up close and she told him he was CUTE.

Well...I haven't downloaded all my pictures yet, but I'll try to get them up tomorrow.

Jamison'smama replied: Glad you had a nice time--sounds like a busy but fun vacation! Can't wait to see the pictures---I understand what you mean about Kylie over-spiriting other children--I think she and Jamison would get along just fine---or else it would end up in a brawl

How was Kylie at the game? DH wants to take Jay to a yankee game sooooo bad! I keep saying he is too young. I am sure he wouldn't sit through it and he would get restless.

Uh...well she was pretty much a crab because she didn't have a nap, but I was in a good mood so she wasn't too bad to handle. Most of the time her and I spent out near the concession so she could run around and I watched the game on the tv. Oh well. It was more important to me that DH got to see the game .

We are taking her again the first weekend of September but we are renting a party room so it will be much easier then. She can roam around with the other kids and she will enjoy it more .

Otherwise at this age...with Kylie being so rambunctious...I would not take her. ROFL. It was a spur of the moment event so I didn't mind but there would be no way I'd take her under normal circumstances and sit out in seats. She's just not interested enough. She wanted to run around and do things, kwim?

Kaitlin'smom replied: that was my concern also but thankfull we have a suite so she should be able to run around if she wants, we are a corporat sponser of the Dayton Dragons so we have tons of ticktes it just so happens I got the suite ones for sunday afternoon I will try and remember the camera and let you know how it goes

Yes, let me know how it goes. I know I plan to bring a few toys for Kylie to play with. We've never had a suite before, but we had tickets in the Batter's Eye Club which was a big room but other people were in there than we didn't know. This time it'll be just family and friends so I figure I can bring a few toys to keep her happy. LOL.

yes, that is exactly what I was thinking....I would be chasing Jason around at the concession stand while Dh watched the game......now if we had a box or private party room, then it would be great!

I am surprised that the Wiggle show wasn't that good, it looks so fun when they show clips from their live shows during the intro song on the TV show. Thanks for the heads up, we'll probably skip them if they come here.

The Wiggles show was good but not what I had thought it was going to be. DH and I both thought the clips you see on tv were much more than this show. Who knows someone else might think differently though.
