Back from the ER with Sophia - pic

amynicole21 wrote: Well, after 4.5 hours in the ER, we were sent home with some Motrin rolleyes.gif The cut is deep, but it was inside the mouth and the doctor said it will heal quickly. She did bump her two front teeth, so is having trouble chewing anything. All she's had to eat today has been pudding, popsicles and yogurt. Poor baby sad.gif

I found out she was standing on top of a play house on the playground at daycare. Daycare has since thrown out the house wink.gif

I'm sure she'll be fine before the weekend is over. I sure wish they'd given us something a little stronger for the pain though. sleep.gif

mummy2girls replied: poor girl! I want to kiss her boo-boo!

paradisemommy replied: poor sophia..as i mentioned before when taven was about 2, we were at the softball field and he was playing on the very bottom step of the bleechers, his foot slipped, his face did a plant into the next step up and his teeth went clear through his tongue..we went to the er and got an extremely impatient (not at all close to a pediatric dr.) doctor who took forever into getting about 4 stitches into his tongue - all the while screaming bloody murder as obviously the numbing agent wasn't working. as we left, we got a talk about how the stitches should last about a week and will self dissolve, blah blah blah...not even an hour later, they were out - i'm sure taven was playing with them far to much but still... dry.gif if i knew that, i would never have subjected him to the torture of having the doctor, 2 people holding him down along with me, helping to hold him down while trying to calm him..

but the good news is - it did heal remarkably fast but the first and second day were the hardest for him (regarding pain)..i think we just gave him tylenol and that was it..

big hugs to sophia.. wub.gif
