Bad Ebay experience - First and last time

Two weeks later I sent a friendly email to the lady requesting if she shipped may I have the tracking number?/ When did she expect it to arrive etc. She informed me that she had an emergency and left town with out mailing all her things out, she would get it out that day. I emailed her and told thanks, and I would pay extra to have it shipped next day or something at this point, she said too late it was in the mail and would be here in 3days.

Ok another week goes by..and still no book. I send another email alittle stronger and requested tracking info again? She immediatly refunded my money (which does surprise me) and told me that she didn't feel like I deserved to be the winner of this book...Hello! She hadn't even truly shipped the book after 3 weeks.

It wasn't about the money..but the timely manner! And she flat out lied to me. So then I had to go to good ole Barnes and Noble and order again..

I am pist!!

loveydad replied: Ebays not good in my eyes! The few times I've bought things they've been good, that sucks what she did to you! I don't think they're really supposed to do that.

I tried to sell a bouncer and the girl who supposedly bought it was in the UK, SHE NEVER emailed me back! I lost all the money I put into selling it.

Tried to sell several nice sets of clothes, nobody bought. I probably lost about 10 bucks!

MomToMany replied: Wow, that's just awful! I would report her. She doesn't need to be selling ANYTHING on eBay. I love eBay; we've had a few incidents, but nothing that can keep me away from it.

mom21kid2dogs replied: Serious bummer! Make sure to leave her feedback that reflects your experience. You might try half.com for books. We get alot of books and music from them. Most of the dealer there own bookstores so they are reputable.

I've been really lucky. I've bought and sold literally hundreds of things through EBay and never had one bad experience! Very lucky I guess!!

Kaitlin'smom replied: well that stinks, I have only had one bad experience with a buyer who never paid, he eventually beacame banned, he was awful and we were not the only ones he tried to cause problems with. Other than that we have bought and sold tons of stuff. I have not done anything in a while but I still love it to find those things I can in a store.

mammag replied: Sorry you have had such a bad experience. I use ebay a lot and have had a couple of bad experiences but overall love it. I don't buy from anyone who has bad ratings that look valid. I don't know why people even bother selling on there if they can't follow through with the transaction. Ridiculous!!!

DansMom replied: Egad---I'm not crazy about e-bay either. I've had some good transactions, but it actually seems like more hassle than it's worth for the item sometimes.
