Bad day...but I can already see the humor in some - of it...kinda yucky. Kids ARE gross!

Any hoo, so I'm on the phone with a co-worker and K is sitting at her table eating chicken nuggets and fries. I run upstairs to check a file and am back downstairs in 2 seconds. I'm in the loft and I can hear her talking to her nuggets so I'm not worried about her choking. In those two seconds, the following things must have happened: 1. my old constipated cat took a crap on the carpet (not too bad since they are little rock hard pellets and easy to clean up). 2. my DD apparently thought the turds were round brown crayon balls because she drew big arcs on my carpet with them...niiiiiiicccce 3. then she must have thought they were dark chicken nuggets because when I came down the stairs, yup uh-hua. she was lickingthem. MAN!

My co worker thought it was funny, I did not. Now I see the humor in it (I can't wait to tell her kids about it) but I also have a call into the ped to make sure that there isn't something I need to do.

I know one little girl who won't be getting many mouth kisses for a few days. DH is grossed out. LOL

MomToMany replied: OMG!! What a rough time you are having!! But just think how much worse it could be with a 4-year old added to the equation! Hannah and Ethan can sure think up the craziest things to do too.

And I'm with you on the house cleaning- it's utterly pointless until they move out!!

Hope that you get better sleep soon. I am so anal about getting some decent stretches of sleep, especially with being pregnant to boot.

I must say i am not looking forward to that stage in Jennas life...LOLOL Its bad enough when she thinks picking my nose and whatever she pulls out she thinks is a yummy treat for her..That is the most nasty thing i seen her do. So i make sure my nose in empty before she decides to find some gold...LOL.

MomToJade&Jordan replied: Oh Cary that is gross. And I'm sitting here eating my breakfast. You would think that in 2 seconds they can't get into anything, but of course we learn that the hard way(ie. Jade putting her sippy cup in the toilet because someone forgot to close the bathroom door). I hope your day gets better and that somehow you are allowed to get some sleep. I know you are trying to get ready for your trip so all you need is K playing in cat poop. Here's a pass it on to K as well.

Sounds like you're having a *special* week. I am with you on the 4 hours sleep. Let dh take her tonight. Seriously. Sleep on the couch. Tell him that if he wants to go on vacation with you without ending up in a ditch somewhere that you need a night off.

And I'm with you on the housecleaning. The minimum standard is "can I see the sink?" and "is that crap on the kitchen floor going to kill him? No, then leave it."

Although I have gotten some cleaning done with him in his new ergo back carrier. He got it for me (heh) for my birthday I deserved it!!
