Bad dreams
PrairieMom wrote: I don't know if it is a hormone thing or what, but for the past 2 nights I have had dreams that I am dead. Like I am a ghost walking around watching other people go on with their lives. The one I had last night I was "killed " when I was run over by a car, and didn't realize I was dead. Someone had to tell me. How strange is that? The best part is that the thing that I was concerned about was that I couldn't tell my PC buddies what had happened, and was wondering how long it would be befreo y-all started to wonder about me. darn pregnancy hormones!
C&K*s Mommie replied: I heard about those strange PG dreams (I had some about our impending child with Kellie).
And it would not be a long time before we noticed you were MIA, esp in the morning when I always see you on the boards.
luvmykids replied: I used to have a recurring dream where I got killed by a guy bashing my head in with a tire iron. I've heard of some horrid pg dreams, hope they stop!
CosmetologyMommy replied: I also had very vivid dreams when I was pg
CAMSMOM1 replied: Wow Tara, those are some crazy dreams! Do you take your prenatals at night? I found when I started doing that, I would have some really freaky dreams too. Oh the joys of being pregnant with a billion hormones!
PrairieMom replied: yeah, but I have taken them at night ever since I started them, 6 months before I got pregnant. I think this is just a hormone thing. It certiantly isn't becuase of something I ate, I had a bowl of honey smacks before I went to sleep.
Chiflata2003 replied: I dont remember if I had scary dreams or not. I hope they stop soon for you!
EvesMom replied: I love trying to figure out my dreams. This is what I found on your dream:
To dream that you die in your dream, symbolizes inner changes, transformation, self-discovery and positive development that is happening within you or in your life. Although such a dreams may bring about feelings of fear and anxiety, it is no cause for alarm and is often considered a positive symbol. Dreams of experiencing your own death usually means that big changes are ahead for you. You are moving on to new beginnings and leaving the past behind. These changes does not necessarily imply a negative turn of events. Metaphorically, dying can be seen as an end or a termination to your old ways and habits. So, dying does not always mean a physical death, but an ending of something.
I think the part that I underlined sums it up.
Bee_Kay replied: Wow Evesmom! That about hits the nail on the head doesn't it???
EvesMom replied: Isn't that cool. Our minds are amazing. I have had some really vivid dreams so I started buying all sorts of books on dreams. It's really interesting.
PrairieMom replied: wow. thats pretty cool! thanks eves mom!
punkeemunkee'smom replied: Maybe based on what Evesmom said it is the end of your pregnancy drawing near. I became alot more aware of my own mortality when I was pregnant. It still freaks me out alot if I think of something happening to me. If I am not careful I will dwell on it. I get very panicy about Taylor and Bill being left alone ....that could be it. The new baby coming more pressure on your shoulders....Hope it doesn't happen again! Those kind of dreams always mess me up for the rest of the day!
Oh and just in case look both ways before you cross the street! The first few times I had that talk with Tay I had horrid dreams....
