Bare minerals - i got it

luvbug00 wrote: And i love them!!!! it is by far the coolest stuff in the world. thumb.gif I reccomend it! it's covering al my achne scars. smile.gif

moped replied: Oh yes - I have been using it for about 6 months - love it very much!!!!!!!

What shade are you? I have a medium beige that I will never use

TANNER'S MOM replied:
I am a mediim beige..if she isn't...lol

luvbug00 replied: I'm trying the tan thinking it may be too dark, i still am learning the prosses. but I bought it blind because they didn't have any samples out. happy.gif

coasterqueen replied: Ok. That's it! I've heard enough about this stuff now clue me in! tongue.gif I'm gonna get it but I need to know where to go and what to buy, etc, etc, etc. Someone HELP me, please. tongue.gif

moped replied: http://www.bareescentuals.com/

Start with the starter kit!

amynicole21 replied: I have a "light" if anyone wants it... it's too dark for me (weird, eh?)

TANNER'S MOM replied: I love it. It does take a bit to get the hang of it. But my face is so much clearer when I use it.

moped replied: Anyone have medium that they don't use???? LOL

We can swap stuff....... tongue.gif

luvbug00 replied: if you go to saphora you get the starter kit for $60

coasterqueen replied:
Really? I thought you and I were about the same complexion. Which color do you think I should go with? unsure.gif

coasterqueen replied:
Where is Saphora? I don't think we have one here. huh.gif

TANNER'S MOM replied: Hey Jen.. Ab told me she likes to mixed the Medium and the Medium Tan durning the summer. I don't know if that's too dark for you right now..but she likes it.

amynicole21 replied:
If you get the starter kit it comes with both light and fairly light. I guess if I ever got a tan, light would work for me better in the summer, but that would never happen wink.gif

moped replied:
Yeah I have heard of people mixing, but the beige is just not right for me at all and it is getting cold here and I haven't tanned in FOREVER

moped replied:
Karen, I am thinking you are a bit lighter than you think - I was.......the color I thought i was I wasn't at all - you look a bit more fair.......but I don't know obviously.

coasterqueen replied:
I am very fair. I guess I'll try the light and can always go to the next one.

Insanemomof3 replied: I got the Bare Essentials (it was cheap lol) from walmart. Anyone try that stuff and tryed the real thing? Which is better or is it the same? I think I need to get the expensive stuff...the cheap on doesn't cover at ALL

moped replied:
So a knock off that walmart sells? Nope, would not cut it for me! tongue.gif

coasterqueen replied:
See I wondered about this too. I wasn't for sure if it was a knock off or not. I figured it was, though.

amynicole21 replied:
Karen, the fairly light is more pinkish in my opinion, while the light is more yellow.

Insanemomof3 replied: Yeah it is a knock off...a lot of times i get lucky and they work for me, but I don't think this one is a lucky one for me. LOL

coasterqueen replied: Ok, I found Sephora online and they have free shipping right now AND their kit is $60 like Nadia said. Cool! Thanks Nadie smile.gif

Now, does anyone have the eyes starter kit or just the face one????? I'm trying to decide if I want to buy both now.?.

bawoodsmall replied: Dh just asked me what I wanted for our anniversary. I always want a night out for us but this year I am going to slip this in. I have acne scars as well and no makeup really seems to work well for me. I am very fair also so I should get the light right? I am rhyming.

boyohboyohboy replied: I have the lightest one, and it was to light for me, it didnt cover at all. i am thinking i need to get the next shade up..is that fairly light then?
i do like the way it makes me skin feel, soft, and it actually seemed to help clear my complexion.
I think sheer cover works just as well, and it is a lot cheaper and comes with more perks.
i have a friend who uses that, and didnt find out until i had already bought my bare essentials. but it seems just the same.

luvbug00 replied: I am soo excited to get the eye kit! it's $49. Karen, your welcome! happy.gif

amynicole21 replied: Fairly light is lighter than Light... doesn't make much sense to me wink.gif

punkeemunkee'smom replied:
I DO!!! thumb.gif I will pay shipping! I am not as tan as I am usually am in summer sleep.gif

coasterqueen replied: Ok, so does anyone have the eye kit? tongue.gif

luvbug00 replied: i'm planning on getting it this weekend if my budget allows. i'll let u know.

TANNER'S MOM replied: I don't have the eye kit..but I some eyeshadows. I like them but not as much as the face stuff. I need to play with it more.

I love the buxom lips though. It puffs them right up!

bawoodsmall replied: Has anyone else used sheer cover? I dont know what that is but if it is just as good and cheaper, then sign me up.

coasterqueen replied: Let me know Nadia. I don't use a lot of eye make-up but I might try it. I did just order the starter face kit and paid $64.95 with tax/free shipping. thumb.gif

Maddie&EthansMom replied: QVC has the starter kits, too. They are $40 and I think the shipping is somewhere in the neighborhood of $5 or $6.

I plan on ordering some when I run out of foundation. It will be awhile, though b/c I never wear makeup. Abbie swears I will love the bare minerals b/c it doesn't feel like makeup, but it has maximum coverage...which is what I need.

coasterqueen replied:
Oh don't tell me that! I thought I got a good deal at $64.95. happy.gif rolleyes.gif

PrairieMom replied: Okay you guys, how long does this makeup last? I have 12 hour foundation, and I need something that will hang around at least that long, I work long hours. It seems like it would rub off fairly easily to me.

punkeemunkee'smom replied:
Ask Mel she will tell you I am right! rolling_smile.gif It is awesome! I have worn it forever and I don't think I could go back to regular makeup now!

I should get some sort of finders fee! rolling_smile.gif

moped replied:
I don't know if it lasts 12 hours but I feel like it lasts a lot longer than what I am used to
