Bathtime - ...it is so much fun

MomToJade&Jordan wrote: I just got done with Jade's bath and I am starting to have so much fun with it. She loves to play and splash and get mommy all wet. I can remember when she was two weeks old and I could finally give her a real bath. She cried through the whole thing and I was so frightened I was going to hurt her. She's such a big girl now and I love her so much. Does everyone have as much fun bathing their little one as I do? redbounce.gif

dolfinrse replied: Zack has loved getting a tubby since he was 2 weeks old. He always laughs and giggles the whole time. He is not old enough to splash yet, but I'm sure he will have lots of fun doing that too.

Kirstenmumof3 replied: wub.gif I love to give Claudia a bath! She has always loved her baths! Yesterday we were at my inlaws house and I was complaining that she was getting a little smelly so we gave her a bath in my inlaws sink and Claudia thought that was just GREAT! She was so cute gripping the faucet for deer life when she slipped! rolling_smile.gif

amynicole21 replied: Sophia loves bathtime, but it's a little stressful for Mommy! She won't sit still!!!! She slipped the other day and got a nasty bump on the head ohmy.gif I have to try to relax and let her enjoy it more!! wink.gif

MomToMany replied: thumb.gif Bathtime is a real fun time at our house! The little ones LOVE the bubbles and soap crayons, and they get clean, too!

The first time I gave my oldest DS a bath at about 2 weeks old, I set him in the baby tub, and he POOPED! I was laughing so hard!

You gotta love the way they smell when they're done! I love using Baby Magic Original Scent; makes them smell SO good!

Mommieto2Girls replied: Maddie love getting a bath. She plays with her toys and of course tries to drinnk the water, and she splashes, alouth now she started to wave her hands around and make the water swish back and forth.

~CrazieMama~ replied: Brianna loves baths. She splashes water EVERYWHERE!!!!! When I put bubble bath in the water, she makes a mustache and beard pout of it. She looks like a little old man...lol emlaugh.gif emlaugh.gif rolling_smile.gif The cutest!!! rolling_smile.gif

victoire2002 replied: tongue.gif Aidan has loved his bath from day one, and now he's starting to really splash and play. He started in the Graco cuddle tub, then progressed to bathing with mommy in the big tub, then we placed him in the big boy tub at about 7 months. He sits in his bath ring, and just loves the bubbles and bath toys. It also puts him in a really good mood. Admittedly, I have given him a bath earlier in the day if he's cranky!!

supermom replied: It took Anders a long time to get to like his bath, but now I can't keep him out of the water!! We not only really like to do the bath thing, but he also loves to go and get in his pool and begs to get in every chance we get....

I see you also live in Hawaii, MsHinkle. Have you ever taken Jade to the beach? I just assume the water is pretty warm there, so was wondering what she thought about it.....

sniff, sniff, I miss the ocean....(from an ex-california girl!)

MomToJade&Jordan replied:
We haven't taken her down to the beach yet, but I'm sure she will love it when we do. We have a beach right here on Hickam, and from what I gather it is warm. I think the beaches surrounding Oahu are cold though, I don't know how warm the Pacific Ocean gets. Jade does love being in the pool though, as long as it's not too cold. When we were on vacation in Florida we took her into a heated pool and she just had the time of her life. My Dad floated her around and she actually kicked her feet. It was so cute. wub.gif

Hillbilly Housewife replied:
Zach cried through his first *real* bath too.... My mother had pured the water in it, because I wasn't too sure of the temperature, and how warm it should be... he cried and cried, so I added a little cold water, to make it cooler, he cried even harder!!!

So......I added a cup of really hot water...warmed up the whole little bath... and he stopped crying. Ever since, he's been taking (and loving) his baths in very very very warm water.

He LOVES his baths!!! biggrin.gif

MommyToAshley replied: Ashley absolutely loves her bath... she plays the entire time. She has learned that when she shakes her booty in the bathtub, so do her toys, LOL. And, she loves to splash.

She has liked the bath from the very beginning. She used to cry when I took her out, but doesn't do that anymore.

aspenblue1 replied: Isabella loves her bath ... She has always loved her bath. biggrin.gif She gets excited when I start running the water.

MomofTay&Sam replied: laugh.gif Sammy is another bath lover! It's so nice now that he sits up fully. I can drain all the water and jump out really fast and than get him. Before I had to drain the water, wrap a towel around him so he wouldnt slide and slowly get out. LOL There is nothing better than a baby smell right after the bath. thumb.gif thumb.gif

catou_98 replied: thumb.gif Yeppers, camille is a bath lover too, that is why I give her a bath every night even if she don't need washing, it's just a way for her to end the day on a good note before she goes too bed, she absolutely loves it! biggrin.gif

MomToJade&Jordan replied:
I have made bathtime part of the bedtime routine as well. She really likes to play in there. Then after she gets all dried off and dressed she gets to play in her room until she lets me know that she is ready to go to bed. Most times it's her putting her head in my lap. wub.gif
