Bedtime...

moped replied: You are asking the sleep nazi???? PLEASE, what do you think
HuskerMom replied: Summer just goes to bed when we do because she's not really on a bedtime schedule yet. But with Keith he's usually in his jammies by 9, read a book, brush his teeth and he's usually in bed by 9:30 or 10. Sometimes reading one book ends up being 3 or 4 books.
MoonMama replied: Braedin's bedtime routine is:
7pm bath, Teeth brushed. then he gets: lotion, diaper, jammies, hair combed (I have to or its horrible in the morning), 1 book read, and in bed by 8pm.
Crystalina replied: My kids are in bed by 8:30 in the winter and 9pm in the summer. When the sun goes down so do they. I need some quiet time and I only get it at night. Besides, that is when all the shows they shouldn't be watching come on.
Once in awhile when DH is home he lets them stay up a little later for a campfire or something.
Oh! And I can't forget the UFC fights. When we order them the kids always stay up to watch and they aren't usually over until about 11pm. They love to watch it. I'm not sure if it's the fights they like or if it's Daddy sitting on the edge of his chair, jumping up and yelling at the t.v. they like.
MommyToAshley replied: During school, Ashley's in bed by 8:00 and usually asleep by 8:30. On weekends, during school season we will let her stay up a little later, but usually not past 9:30 so she doesn't get too out of routine.
During the summer, she goes to bed whenever -- we don't enforce a bedtime really. We're usually doing stuff anyways, so it's nice not to have to have her home to be in bed by a certain time. For example, Thursday we were at Kings Island until 10:00pm... so by the time we got home, she was hungry again, took a shower, it was midnight by the time she went to bed and she slept in until 11:00 am. Last night she was in bed by 10:30/11:00. This weekend we have a few birthday parties, a couple of graduation parties, so we'll probably be out late and she'll probably sleep in. We're pretty flexible in the summer. Next week she has VBS, so she'll probably go to bed earlier because she'll be getting up earlier.
Teesa®© replied: During school, it's get ready for bed at 7pm and maybe by 7.30 they're in bed. Fridays and Saturdays they stay up till 9 or 10 - as long as they're behaving.
Summer holidays, they can stay up as long as they want - they usually crash around 10pm. But by August, I start "weaning" them to bed earlier so they're all caught up and in bed by 7.30 by the time school starts again.
mckayleesmom replied: I try to have them in bed by 8 or 8:30.....unless there is a movie or something on and they want to watch it.
Calimama replied: Um.. pretty much word for word the same here.
Crystalina replied: That movie thing really gets to me. Whenever a good kid movie comes on (weeknight or not) they start it at 8pm. Around Christmas time all the Christmas shows start at that time when there's school the next day. Don't they know kids have school???? I let mine stay up to watch only because it's borderline child abuse not to.
jem0622 replied: I used to be a slave to the schedule, but the girls are 3.5 now. For school nights, they are in bed by a certain time. The ritual/prep before bed is still thte same, no matter what time we go down.
mommy~to~a~bunch replied: Bedtime for the girls (Hannah & Kayla) is usually 7:30pm. They will start getting ready at 7, picking up and bath if needed, then a bedtime story, kisses & hugs, and tuck them in.
The boys stay up til about 8-8:30 or so, Logan is up as late as he wants to be.
mckayleesmom replied: I hear ya......Dh is half to blame too. I will put them to bed and he will be going through the guide on the tv and yell "did you know Ants is on HBO".....and back the kids go...
holley79 replied: I never have understood that either.
Annika has done pretty good this week. Friday night and tonight though she is up late because we have been gone all day long. I figured she would have passed out by now but she is down there watching UFC with her daddy.
blondemom replied: Dylan is in bed during school by 9 pm now that they are out of school its 11 ish Derrick is in bed by 8 pm every night up at 7
