Been going thru my closet

Maddie&EthansMom wrote: Looking at all my old clothes I used to wear. I can't believe how little I was (and I thought I was fat then) sad.gif I will be able to fit in them again...won't I? From this angle it seems so impossible.

Trying to stay motivated is so hard.

MomToMany replied: Aimee, I know what you mean. I have a drawer full of jeans I can't wear. I'm too fat for jeans! I have those "fake" looking stretch pants, and my maternity leggings that I wear all the time. When I put my "fake" jeans on, Dh was like, "you're wearing jeans again!". I said, "Nope, just "fake" ones for fat people". He gets mad everytime I call myself fat ("Stop saying that s**t about yourself!"), and I hate my reflection in the mirror.

But, I'm working on it!! I WILL WEAR THOSE JEANS AGAIN!!!

alice&arik replied: My sister helps me stay motivated. She said " You'd be surprised at what you can make your body do." I'm sure you'll be in your old clothes in no time.

I do the same thing though, I find lots of clothes that I used to wear and can't anymore. sad.gif It makes me so mad. I hate the way I look too. When I wore my old clothes I thought I was so fat and had to lose weight. I would give anything to look like that again, without this belly from Arik. But I am working on it. I plan on losing 36 more pounds before my B-day which is June 1st. SO all I have to do is lose 2 pounds a week which isn't too bad. wink.gif I just need to start working out more. thumb.gif

Maddie&EthansMom replied:

Great motivational words!! thumb.gif That is so true!

Well, instead of getting depressed about it, I hung up my bikini and a cami on my closet door. How is that for motivation?? happy.gif

Alice you are doing great so far! 9 lbs! thumb.gif And Mollie, keep keeping on! We'll be in those old jeans before long! biggrin.gif And how sweet of your DH to love you just the way you are! wub.gif

A&A'smommy replied: Ha I REALLY know how that feels after I had Alyssa I couldn't wait to get back into my old clothes and then I looked at them and was AMAZED by how tiny I was I gave most of my old shirts away to someone who weighs 95lbs most of the time and she is short I just can't get over it! I know how you feel about getting motivated I cannot seem to get any motivation I just hope I will be as lucky as you to find someone who will give their old WW stuff away (which I think I might have found someone wink.gif ) Good luck I know you can do it!! thumb.gif

MomToMany replied:
wub.gif Thanks Aimee! It's great having a fellow "loser" to lean on!

And yes, DH IS very sweet wub.gif !!!

TeagansMom609 replied: Ha! I have jeans that Ive kept from when I was 18 hoping I could one day get back into them. (as I say this im eating a brownie...lol) But that hasn't happened and probably wont. Ugh, I hate staring at them. How depressing! I wore alot of black pants for the past few years because I feel like such a cow in jeans but recently I said screw it, im going to wear jeans. (NY & Co. jeans fit real nice and they run big so if your usually a 9, you would buy a 6 in their size, if your usually a 5, you would wear a 2, etc. It makes you feel better about yourself) I suggest buying them for those of you who feel like a whale in jeans like myself. Im telling you, just go try a pair on...you will hear that song in your head from that old jeans commercial from back in the day..."I feel like a natural woman". LOL

texasp3 replied:

Oh Aimee (hey!).. don't I KNOW what you mean. I keep my Really Little Clothes in a box hiiiiigh up in my closet where I can't see them.

You know though, if I could lose SIXTY POUNDS when I was thirty years old and mother to a third grader, you can lose the weight you want to... you're stronger than I am in a lot of ways.

I'm not afraid I can't lose it this time... I just haven't found the motivation to yet. Although... my Mom gave me a pretty good argument recently. She said that she realized she has to lose as much as Gabriel weighs ... and whe she thinks how much it takes to lug him around, it really motivates her to spare her body that extra stress.

Well, I need to lose about TWO Gabriel's ... so I'm trying to think about how wonderful it would feel to be free of that load!

(checking in after a loooooooooooong break)

MomToJade&Jordan replied: You can do it Aimee. Trust me I know exactly how you feel. There are clothes in my closet that I was able to wear in college, but no more. I want to be able to go into any store and find my size. I hate shopping right now. Just keep it up, count those points and you will be where you want to be.

Josie83 replied: Aimee I'm sorry that you're so down. i'm sure it won't be long before you're having to buy a whole new wardrobe because THOSE clothes are too big. I know its hard to stay motivated . . . we're all rooting for you! xx

moped replied: You will wear them again - I know it!

MomToMany replied:
Yep, me too. I hate being so big! The thing I hate the most is not being able to buy a new bra. I wear a 42K, and there's no way you will find that in any store!

I might seriously consider a breast reduction after I'm absolutely done BFing. Hopefully they will shrink some when I lose more weight.

Chiflata2003 replied: You can do it! My goal is to fit into my old pairs of 14's. That's still big, but hey I thought I was fat then but now I think that I was crazy!

~Roo'sMama~ replied: I know what you mean. I have a big box of skinny clothes, and I've even weeded through it a few times and thrown some out. I have super skinny clothes that I'll probably never wear again and I have no idea why I'm saving them rolleyes.gif and normal skinny clothes that I could fit in if I'd try hard enough to get into shape. tongue.gif
I know I can do it - it's just hard to start. wink.gif (and of course I can't right now. tongue.gif )

You can do it! By the time I can start trying to lost weight you'll be at your goal and telling me how easy it is! biggrin.gif

Maddie&EthansMom replied: You guys are the best!!! wub.gif wub.gif I'm glad I have such wonderful friends on here to keep me motivated!

Thanks for all the kind words. wub.gif
