Been thinking....

MomToMany wrote: I know I want to have 1 more baby for sure. DH does too. But I don't think it's fair to the baby if I'm still so much overweight. We wanted the baby to be born in February, which would mean TTC in May. I think that if I started exercising more now and eating better, I should be in OK shape to start TTC then. That's a good 5 months. I hate being so fat. I'm 5'3" and weigh........ *GULP* 225 blush.gif . That's the first time I've ever shared my weight. I'm so embarrassed. I really am going to try and fix this.

Sorry for my ramblings, just thinking out loud I guess.

Kaitlin'smom replied: sounds like a plan to me. I to have more weight on thean I woudl like and now that kaitlin is getting used to her new bedtime routine, and daddy has started doing it some with her I migh tbe able to get to the gym a couple nights during the week. I so want to get back, i enjoyed it and was starting to see some things changing. Good luck to you, I know this time of year is hard with the holidays and all but you can do it and so can I.

A&A'smommy replied: I think you will be more comfortable if you do loose weight I'm trying to eath healthier in fact when I went to the grocery store I bought ALL healthy food, I even bought a diet drink. Good luck loosing weight!!!!

MomToJade&Jordan replied: I am with you on this one Mollie. That's why I have been doing Weight Watchers. I need to lose some of this weight before I even think about having another baby. I have lost 25.6 pounds so far and I am still trying to keep at it. I weigh less now then I did when Jade was conceived. Good Luck!!!! I'm here for you.

Littlejojames replied: Good luck with loosing weight. Thats the one thing which im looking forward to after i have had this one. I have never been small in size but now being pregnant has made me realise that i need to change afterwards

Let me know how it goes xxxx

Good luck

MomToMany replied: wub.gif Thank you everyone! Your support means so much!

I guess I put on a lot of weight from the thinking that I'm eating for 3 (tandem nursing), which really isn't true at all. I have put on about 20 lbs. since Kayla was born because of that thinking.

But I got a wake-up call when I stepped on the scale the other morning and was shocked at what it said.

jdkjd replied: The thing that has helped me is knowing how much easier it will be if I am stronger and weigh less. Getting in some minimal weights has really helped me decrease my fatigue with carrying around Kiera and playing with Bailey.

All I have been doing is spinning class twice a week and while I'm waiting for class to start I do a couple arm/shoulder exercises and abs. It's minimal but it's all I have time for and I've been a little more energized.

I haven't lost as much weight as I had hoped but feeling stronger has been incredibly useful. Maybe your hubby could get you some 5 lb weights for Christmas...

So, from your support group--join the weight loss/exercise club--we are with you. wub.gif

Maddie&EthansMom replied: Mollie, I know just how you feel. I weigh more now than I did the week after Ethan was born. blush.gif We can go through this together. I'm ready to get my weight off, too. I'm going to join Weight Watchers at the first of the year, but until then I'm changing my eating habits and getting an early start. wink.gif

Good luck! I know you can do it! thumb.gif

favre4fan replied: Good for you for wanting to get more healthy!! Just remember to take it one day at a time. smile.gif

coasterqueen replied: Sounds like a great plan Mollie! That is exactly what I wanted to do before having this baby. I wanted to lose as much weight as I could and hopefully get pretty close to my "ultimate goal" weight. I was 4.5 pounds away from that goal and that felt pretty darn good. You can do it, especially having a goal in mind. I know I told myself that I would not ttc until I got at least down to a certain weight..that motivated me extremely.

We'll be here to help you on your way thumb.gif . I know I'll need all of your motivation to help me lose all this again after my baby is born. wink.gif

grouphug.gif Good for you for taking this step!

MomToMany replied: thumb.gif Thank you everyone!! I really hope I can do this. I'm going to take it a little bit at a time. I'm starting to watch how much/what I eat, and am looking into getting some exercise videos. Even if I lost only 10 lbs., I'd be happy. Hopefully it will be a lot more than that.

The only problem I have is trying to find an exercise bra to fit my HUGE BB"s!! Any ideas there?? I'm just tempted to find the biggest one I can at Wal-Mart or somewhere and just pack myself into it.

MomToJade&Jordan replied:
Good for you Aimee!!!! thumb.gif If you follow the program right you are going to see results. I know I have.

One of the best things to do Mollie is watch your portion sizes. See if you can not eat as much as you usually do in a sitting. If you can leave some of the food on your plate then you should see some of the weight coming off. Also make sure you get at least 6 8oz glasses of water a day and two servings of low fat milk. They have some great findings out there that tie in Calcium and weight loss. Plus we need the Calcium anyway. 1 cup is equal to one serving and you can include yogarts and cheese as well.

I guess I will keep up the weigh in post which I haven't been doing lately. I know that always helps me.

Maddie&EthansMom replied:
Thanks for the encouragement! I agree that we need to start up the weigh in posts again. Let's keep each other accountable! We can do this together! thumb.gif

Nicole replied: You can do it! biggrin.gif
Before i got pregnant with this baby i lost almost 85 pounds in 12 months! starting from April 2003 to April 2004! i`m 5feet 6in. and went from 204 lbs. to 121 lbs. ( i was about 15 pounds under weight at 121 that`s what my doc said so i was trying to put about 15lbs. on when i got pg the day i found out i was 124lbs. not great but i was gaining!) Anyway`s i just wanted to say you can do it! Good luck!

MomToMany replied:
Thanks for the advice! I made up my mind to not take second helpings anymore, and to try to leave some on my plate too. I drink tons of water with nursing, but will try to drink more. I also heard that drinking a big glass before a meal helps you feel fuller so you won't eat as much.

Another thing I got to stop is eating after 7:00 pm. DH usually has ice cream, which means I do too, but I told him that has to stop. Now he has about 10 of those Freezies things you freeze at home every night. If I do get some frozen treats, it's usually sherbert or something like that.

We can do this!!! Another thing that motivates me is if we do make the trip to Disney World to meet everyone. I don't want to look like a big fat cow.

Josie83 replied: Good for you, if that's what you want! but Mollie, you are an attractive person. I wouldn't feel bad about wanting to lose weight. Go for it and keep us posted xx
