Ben's a 16 year old girl

PrairieMom wrote: So, my boy is acting like a 16 year old girl with killer PMS . Right down to the yelling, screaming , crying, good grief. I can't tell you how many times a day I " hurt his feelings" AKA, don't give him his way. rolleyes.gif I had no idea to expect PMS from my 5 year old boy.
So , how long can I expect this to last? banghead.gif banghead.gif banghead.gif banghead.gif

I'm tellin ya, I'm going to need some big time support to get through an entire summer with this kid with out harming his fragile psyche some how.

PrairieMom replied: Forgot to mention the wailing and fake crying.

moped replied: Oh yeah, when Jack has a bad day that is JUST how he is!!!!!! I jsut walk away and soemtimes even laugh at him.

DRAMA DRAMA DRAMA

momofone replied: How often does he do this?
Last nite at bed time my DD said "i can do whatever i want its my b-day"
and we get the fits too
she is entering puberty now she has been acting differently.
i go stand on my porch when the fits come.

PrairieMom replied:
oh, this is an hourly thing. rolleyes.gif Its not to bad if we are out doing something active to keep him busy, but if we are just hanging at home its constantly, " I NEVER get to... AL ALWAYS gets too... you don't, I can't, thats mine... blah blah blah... rolleyes.gif and if I hear that he doesn't like what I have cooked one more time I'm gonna loose my mind. dry.gif I don't know where he got the idea he has an opinion on the subject, its not like I spoil the kid by ANY means.

momofone replied:
same thing here she can drive me crazy at home but when we are out things are alot better.

A&A'smommy replied: YUCK you are making me dread summer time even more... UGH I'm trying to find things to do for us this summer.. go to the library ect... UGH I'm sorry I REALLY hope it doesn't last much longer!!! hug.gif hug.gif

TheOaf66 replied: Tara,

did you give him a midol

coasterqueen replied: Yep! Happening to my 6.5 year old, too. growl.gif This morning she threw a huge fit because her rain boots don't fit anymore and she wouldn't be able to jump in the water puddles today becuase she had to wear regular shoes. She expected me to run to the store and get her new ones when the bus was going to be there in 15 minutes to pick her up for school. I was LIVID! wacko.gif growl.gif

moped replied: Truly a dream aren't they?

I seriously have found 4-5 the hardest year of parenting so far...I am sure it will get worse, but man o man, a 16 month old is a piece of cake!!!!!!!

PrairieMom replied: I am SO glad I'm not the only person completely dreading summer vacation. sad.gif I am trying SO hard, but MAN that kid pushes my buttons.

Boo&BugsMom replied:
Tanner is almost 7, and he still acts like that.

Sorry, I offer no hope. laugh.gif

Brias3 replied: I offer no words of advice either, only sympathy. Put it this way- my Aliyah is a HUGE diva/drama queen and Mason whines her under the table. rolleyes.gif dry.gif SO irritating. I think it's just the age...hang in there!
