Biggest Fears
lisar wrote: Okay I was just sitting here thinking and was wondering what everyones biggest fears are that has nothing to do with thier kids. Cause I know one of mine is for something to happen to one of them.
But, My biggest fears besides thats are
I cant be alone I absolutley let my mind get the best of me. I start wondering about the bad things that could happen.
And losing my DH. I have lots of life insurance on him cause I know I wouldnt be able to do it alone. And he has some pretty dangerous hobbies. (motocross, etc... nothing bad)
I was just wondering.
holley79 replied: I think my mnd really kicks into over drive when I am home alone. I am always so scared something is going to happen and I'm not going to be able to do anything about it.
I also have life insurance on Dh in a large amount. I would hate for anything to happen to him but on the other hand they will probably look at me.
stella6979 replied: Like you, I'm terrified of being home alone which is not good for me since my DH works nights. I actually sleep with a 7 inch hunting knife laying on my nightstand. LOL! I'm also terrified of cornfields.
MyBrownEyedBoy replied: I am afraid of the dark. Not in my own home, but outside in the dark I kind of freak out. Also, I can't stand spiders. For stupid little fears that remain from childhood. I used to be convinced that gnomes lived under my bed and would get my toes. So, I had to jump out of my bed at least 2 feet away so the gnomes wouldn't get me. I still can't put my foot down directly beside my bed.
holley79 replied: I remember that from my childhood also and I still ahve a tough time stepping otu of bed. DH laughs at me.
MyBrownEyedBoy replied: Holley, at least I am not alone. Thank you.
sparkys2boys replied: spiders.. spiders.. spiders.... ewwwwwwwwwwwwww I am petrified of em.. I just gave myself the freakin willies writing this..lol..
hoosier momma replied: Other than the normal fears about something happening to my baby or husband. I have a horrible fear of centipedes and heights.
1lilpeanut2love replied:
I feel like someone might jump out and get me!
My fears: +Being alone +Being without with my SO or anyone and being single[ ] +being a single Momma +Losing my child and/or her getting sick/ hurt +spiders and mice/rats and snakes +Getting lost +dying +getting into a car accident[We were rear-ended and our car got totaled when I was 9 months pregnant. Let's just say that I was SO upset and it was the worst day of my life. I thought it had harmed Kaylee. Turned out she was just fine though!!]
TheOaf66 replied: mine would be losing my family
boyohboyohboy replied: 1. spiders 2. centipedes 3. dying in a fire...slowly 4. drowning 5. being kidnapped or a home invader when my kids are home
My DH says I tend to worry about just about everything
CantWait replied: Failing in life, not being a productive person in society, not helping others in a way that changes someones life.
C&K*s Mommie replied: Driving next to big trucks on the interstate-- I have to speed by them Bugs, bugs, bugs any creepy crawly, or just about any flying creature there is Something happening to my DH Not being able to respond or get to family in time during an emergency

C&K*s Mommie replied:
You risk getting a ticket too for speeding for those couple of seconds? Glad I am not the only one! My DH used to drive them long haul, but it still did not alleviate my fears any.
cameragirl21 replied: i am afraid of heights and after all the work i've done with ALS (Lou Gehrig's) patients i am afraid of horrible diseases but tbh i think my biggest fear is being ordinary, i know that sounds bizarre but i think ultimately that is what i fear the most.
Boo&BugsMom replied: Me 3rd!!! I hate, hate, hate semi's!!! I'm always afraid of being run off the road.
redplaydoh replied: Mine are: DH dying... what the heck would I do here without him? It isn't as if I could stay here and work not knowing the language. This REALLY freaks me out now. I am so dependant on him now.
Heights Dentists Masks - I don't like when I can't see someone's face or having my face covered. I am (and always have been) scared of people wearing coverings over their face. It could be islamic women, halloween costumes, etc. I was even freaked out once by a fireman that pulled me from a smoke-filled apartment I stupidly went into. I had nightmares for YEARS about that.... not about my stupidity or the smoke inhalation... but about this big looming man with this face mask on.
C&K*s Mommie replied: As brave as they are to put their lives on the line for us; Firefighters with all the equipment on from head to toe can be quite frightening.
gr33n3y3z replied: Its not a fear more a concern I dont want my children to die before me
As for fears I dont really have any
ZandersMama replied: Being alone terrifies me, and silence. I always have a tv or radio on, even when i'm in bed
My3LilMonkeys replied: Being alone in the dark is my biggest fear other than the typical children/DH ones.
redchief replied: I fear that I'll no longer be needed... and I'll know it.
my2monkeyboys replied: Other than family stuff, of course, I am extremely afraid of someone breaking in while we're at home (particularly at night) and the house catching fire while we are asleep. It doesn't bother me at all that these could happen while we're gone, just while we're home/in bed. I also am scared of heights, depending on how I got up there. If it's in an elevator, at the top of a building, etc, no prob. But I can not climb a ladder (even the small 6-ft step ladders hardly) or that kind of thing.
punkeemunkee'smom replied: I am too superstitious to name my biggest fears
I am afraid of spiders and insects that fly...
I am not so much afraid that someone will break in as I am afraid that I will not get to protection in time
I am afraid (really, truly) of walking on wet pavement. It is from a fall when I was preg. But it is so bad that I have to breathe deeply and walk really slow-Thank God it doesn't rain much down here
I am not 'afraid' of but I HATE anything that doesn't have a face (sorry to those who love the Willow figures) I think it is the creepiest thing ever when something is faceless
I have a few little odd things that kinda freak me out-but the big ones I will leave alone
OK this should do the trick to banish the bad luck of talking about this stuff
