Birkenstocks... - Socks or no socks??

BIRKENSTOCKS ON MEN...OR IN GENERAL:

1) hell no! hate them with or without socks
2) with socks...however you want to wear them is fine by me.
3) love Birks, but no socks please!

This is a running joke with my DH...He wears Birks with socks and I absolutely HATE them...hate them in general...but with SOCKS??? I was watching the "Girlfriend's Guide To..." show and the three women on the show were saying "I don't really care what guys wear all that much unless they wear sandels with socks...total turn off!"

I told DH this, but he didn't care. He has awful feet, so this is why he wears socks...and let me tell you, he sometimes even wears colored socks!! LOL! I tell him that I would rather see his ugly toes than to see his socks...Anyone with me??

however when I was PG, the last few weeks I wias swollen and could not get ANY of my reg shoes on, it sucked the only thing I coudl wear were sandles they had velcro so they could be adjusted. Well the kicker it was winter and so I had to wear sockes to keep my feet from freezing. NOT fun and I hated it. i had to carry extra socks, for when it snowed. So please dont think any less of me I really had no other choise unless I wore shoe boxes

I thought about this, but he's too embarassed to let someone see his toes. He has that yellow fungus thing going on...he's been to the doctor, but my DH is way anti any drugs. Grew up in a very "natural" home...but surprisingly one with A LOT of fashion sense. His sister is a model...you would think some of it would rub off on him!!

And yes, I agree, everything is an exception when you're PG! But DH has no excuse!!

BTW, we were at Target yesterday and I pointed out another dad who was wearing them with socks!! Bright white ones might I add! DH just ignored me!

DH has recently purchased black crew socks...they hit the ankle...you wear them for cycling...not with Birks! And he often wears his dress socks with them too....tan, gray, whatever he has on at the moment. HELP!
