Birth storry - sorry I have been gone for so long...

I woke up the day of my c-section around 3am having contractions every 5 minutes. Very mild, nothing to get excited about. Well, by 5am they were every 3 minutes but still not getting too much stronger, but I could definatley feel them. Went to the hopital as scheduled at 5:30am. They hooked me up the fetal monitor straps and could see how strong my contractions were and they started coming about every 2 minutes around 6am. The nurses started acting a little faster then they already were so I knew something was up. Epidoral was put in place (didn't hurt at all...sheww, most of you knew I was scared of that) Since they were trying to hurry before I had him...I didn't have enough IV fluid in me before doing the epidoral so they were squezzing the bags to get me fluid quick. My BP dropped 70/52 and I felt like I was going to faint. Then I got REALLY scared and couldnt stop crying. Tears would not stop coming! The next thing I knew my doctor walked in the door about 7:30am and said.."Are you ready!!" Wheeled me to the OR..I could feel the pressure but it wasn't all that bad. They told my husband to stand up...he could see his head being delivered..they had to use forceps to get him out of my pelvis because he was trying to go through my birth canal from the contractions. My husband was in such shock that he could hardly take pictures, I got 2 of him being delivered..bless his heart. But I have tons of him getting checked by the nurses. They were shocked to see how big he was...although the U/S showed him to be big and I could just tell he was going to be big. But to find out he was 10lbs 10 ounces surprised everyone. I figured he would be around 9, but he was almost 11 and they said full term he would have been around 12!! His umblical cord was soo big to support his size, it looked like a huge climbing rope with the big knots and everything. They called those knots fat deposits. I guess I ate too many oreos. LOL. He is doing awesome though and I am already down to my pre-baby weight. I guess only gaining 23 lbs helped with that considering I was all baby. I went ahead and had them tie my tubes while they were in there and it seems to be healing nicely. Funny thing is, you can hardly even see my scar...and it has only been 10 days since my c-section..they did an aweome job!!
Here is a picture of us outside..Jake had a little jaundice so we were letting him sit in the sun to help it get out of his system. It is all gone now. Isn't he just so fat and awesome!!! He was only 5 days old in that picture, he looks like he is 8 weks huh! Enjoy...miss you all!!

indywndy_04 replied: Thank you all...the c-section was pretty scary and there were times that it showed me how serious it was...as in..it is major surgery and anything is possible, but I pulled through it all and so blessed to have this baby. I still can not imagine how that big of a baby fit inside of me..looking at that picture with him stretched out on 2 of my legs just amazes me. Poor fella must have been really squeshed in there.
Big hugs to everyone and yes...I spend all day kissing those checks.
