Bissell spot bot pet

PrairieMom replied: i don't know. I'm interested too.
boyohboyohboy replied: The reviews were mixed on different web sites, and it says alot that the machine takes out the stains but bleaches the carpet or leave these circle marks all around..
luvmykids replied: My mom had one and sold it at a garage sale, her complaint was the circles too. It wasn't that the machine did any damage, just that there was a circle of freshly cleaned carpet against the un-cleaned carpet, so she bought a small steam cleaner and just does the whole room at once.
cameragirl21 replied: Idk, I don't have carpet but I just wanted to say that I LOVE your siggy pic and your avatar pic...are things getting better with Tess? She's adorable and I see the kids LOVE her.
boyohboyohboy replied: I dont know that things are any better, but I am resolved to making a go of it. Tess, is definately starting to recognize us as her family. She also really is starting to get more energetic. I also think that caleb is doing a lot better with her. He is more comfortable with her and takes her out and plays with her. He said if she were to leave he would be heart broken.
How can I do that to him! so I am really just trying to get thru day by day until doggy school starts, and also I am using the crate when I am feeling over whelmed. I still dont put here that often except at night, but I use it if I need to.
She is having at least one accident a day in the house, and I cant figure out what I am doing wrong, but I need something to keep the house clean, as andrew is still on the floor a lot. I had a bissell brush cleaner and it died today, it was working great with the woolite pet spot cleaner...
I am lucky my neighbor has a large carpet steam cleaner so thats next but I need a spot cleaner on hand. I enjoy the pics too, andrew is the only one who isnt that fond of Tess and I think he is jeolous.
MommyToAshley replied: I am in the market for a spot cleaner too.... I saw the commercial for the shark one that looked kind of neat but haven't heard any actual reviews yet.
cameragirl21 replied: Stacy, one thing my parents did when we got our puppy when I was a kid is that everytime he ate, he immediately was taken outside to do his thing and wasn't allowed back in until he did it. At first he didn't get it and wanted to come inside (we were outside with him, we didn't just throw him out by himself) but eventually it became automatic. I'd say to feed and water her at certain times and then pick them up and put them away and if you see her in the area where her dishes should be, it means she's either hungry or thirsty and so give her her food and water and then take her right outside. I know it's a PITA but dogs are smart and they catch on fast and ultimatelhy, they really want to please their owners. The adjustment is tough in the beginning but once she's caught on, it gets so much easier. Btw, another thing you should do when you find she peed or pooped in the house is put her nose in it (don't get her nose dirty with the stuff, just make sure she can smell it) and say NO forcefully enough that she knows she's done something wrong. That makes them catch on also...I think she just doesn't get that she's not supposed to do that yet.
coasterqueen replied: I've heard this too and actually alot of just store bought spray carpet cleaners do this as well. We've had it happen.
boyohboyohboy replied: thanks Jennifer! I have been doing just what you described about letting her eat and then taking her right out. I think the ones that I am not getting, cues I mean, are that I play with her with her ball or her pull toys and after we have a rather busy play period she immediately pees on poops on the floor, but sometimes its hard to tell if she is just still checking out her new surroundings and sniffing around or if she is sniffing around to find a place to go potty.. so if the poor dog sniffs even once we grab her and haul her outside!
This morning she started to sniff and my husband grabbed her and right as she was about to poop on the floor we were taking her out, it was a bare miss!
But I am going to say, I think I am starting to like her, but I wont admit that to my family yet..nor tess.
boyohboyohboy replied: I am happy to say, or maybe embarrassed too, that I have a bissell spot cleaner that is just a spin brush..and its working again.. apparently I didnt hit the trip button hard enough to reset it, and its working! I have had it for three years and its working great, it cleans great with the bissell soap and the woolite spot cleaner...my carpet isnt smelly or anything.. so I have to recommend this one..it sells at sears for $44.. much cheaper then the spot bot
I only wanted one because I thought this one was broke...I am so glad its not!
DVFlyer replied: Dogs have to pee after they eat, sleep or play.
Puppies should be taken out OFTEN.... like every hour if necessary.
The idea is to catch them doing something good. Take them out to where you want them to go, say "Go Potty" or whatever your command is and wait.
If they go, jump up and down like they just did the most amazing thing you've ever imagined..... (try this with your kids, btw, when they do something good).
If they don't go after 5 minutes, take them back inside and put them in their crate until you are ready to play, train etc. There is no reason they need to roam the house.... unless you want them to pee on the carpet.
Oh wait, you asked about a carpet cleaner.....
We have a large carpet cleaner and use it a few times a year. I think the spot cleaner would be very handy, but not if you already have a regular cleaner.
I think a carpet cleaner or spot cleaner is mandatory for homes with pets.... or kids.
