Blankets
mckayleesmom wrote: [SIZE=7][COLOR=purple] Does anybody put their baby to bed with a blanket? Just wondering cause I put Mckaylee to bed with a blanket. Usually I lay the blanket down in her crib and then lay her on top and just take the end and cover her legs, but I have also heard not to put a baby to bed with a blanket. Just wondering if anyone has an opinion. Thanks
ediep replied: I put Jason to bed with a blanket. It is one that my grandma knitted so it has holes. Jason is a real cuddle-er so he likes to hold onto a blanket while he sucks his thumb. I asked his ped about it last time we were in and he said that I could tuck it under his mattress so he couldn't pull it up over his face. I thought that was a good idea but I haven't done it because the blanket is small.
mckayleesmom replied: Thanks, its nice to know Im not the only one, Usually Mckaylee will kick it off of her anyways.
Guest replied: I put Ashley to bed with a blanket... she likes to chew on it. But, she usually ends up kicking it off. I don't tuck it in because she moves all over her bed and I thought she might get caught in it if I tucked it in.
MommyToAshley replied: Oops, that's me on the laptop again.
Kaitlin'smom replied: I used to put Kaitlin in one of the sleeper blankets, (it zippes up) but with the change of weather I dont any more. I do sometimes cover her with a blanket when she naps but have not at night time.
maliksmommy replied: We always cover Malik up with a blanket at night, he sleeps on his stomach so he's never messed with it. Actually since it has warmed up he hasn't needed one for the last few days and probably won't need one at all hopefully
dhoppygirl replied: Peyton always sleeps with a blanket, whether it is on him or next to him. He used to like to put it over his face to fall asleep, so we would take it off after he was asleep. Now, he just plays with it before going to sleep. He usually has two or three blankets in his crib...I know..bad, bad. With summer approaching, we will probably take the blankets out since he is such a warm baby!
Kaitlin'smom replied: hay Dawn new Avitar?
what a cutie!
Mommieto2Girls replied: I have always put a blanket on Madison. She kicks it off because she rolls around so much.If it's cool I put it back on her when I go to bed.
CantWait replied: I always put my son to bed with a blanket when he was a baby BAD MAMA!!!!! LOL Are they suppose to freeze their little bottoms off when it's chilly?????
Heather replied: I have always kept a blanket on Alison as well. Up until she was a few months old she would kick it off, then we started using the blanket sleepers. Now that she can pull herself up we haven't used them for a few months and have gone back to blankets. I always check to make sure it is still on her before I go to bed as well...
MomofTay&Sam replied: I do not put Sam to sleep with a blanket, I heard a horror story once and just have never did it. He sleeps in warm jammies and I cover him when he is asleep. I watch him though when he is waking because he will cover his head. He just began being able to remove it from his head. If I have to leave him then I just give him a burp cloth. If he wakes up then he can play with that instead of a huge blanket.
