Blessings in disguise - how my life changed w/ steph

i had a drinking problem my sr yr college, but it wasnt just a party thing. i HAD to drink 12 shots of SOCO and one beer chaser to fall asleep every night when i was working midnights. then come friday and saturday i partied HARD every night....it was taking its toll on me and bad . this went on for over a year.

well my friends i was living with moved out of town and i was supposed to take a job in MB SC, but i ended up not (for some reason). so i moved into a house with some other friends who partied every night as well. BUT this one girl in the house was freinds with steph. steph came over one night to visit her and i saw her and about dropped my jaw right in front of her. we only talked for a minute or so, but that impression was forever in my mind. that right then and there is when i decided to stop partying and drinking to get drunk. a couple days later my roomate invite me to go swimming with her at her mom's house, and she called and invited steph. so we went swimming and talked, went to eat after that. i later got the nerve to call her and we talked for a couple months before going on a date only due to me being afraid to fall in love so fast. (i knew i was) we talked daily for hours...well after on argument at the fair because i hadnt taken her out yet....i told her why, and we made a date for the next night to go to a movie....and we have been together ever since. she moved me out to her town and thats where our story began. we now have a beautiful baby boy and i love them both so much, i wouldnt change anything in the world.

funny how you think your life is going one way then you meet someone who makes you forget anything everything you "thought" you wanted. i know realize why i came to fairmont WV of all places for college...and why i didnt move to MB....it was because i was ment to meat steph and love her forever.

This is what I mean when I said in a previous post that I have faith--I have faith that people come into our lives for a reason.
I'm a firm believer that one person can make a world of difference, either by saving the world, as do researchers who find cures for pandemics like polio for example, or someone who can save the world for just one person, as in saving one person's whole world.
It just goes to show the power of one....
I think the most important thing in life is to leave this world a little better than it was when you entered it.
