Blueberry pie - frozen or canned berries?

DansMom replied: Were they separated at birth?! Daniel has asked for blueberry pie and I was just asking someone the same question! I was told that with frozen, to thaw the blueberries and drain off the excess water/juice before using. Add sugar and cinnamon.
We're making a vegan crust. Most crusts are vegan, actually, so that's not a marvel.

luvmykids replied: The second one is similar to MIL's and it's to die for. The first one I think assumes you're using canned, since it says "in syrup".

My3LilMonkeys replied: I've only used fresh, but canned tend to be in a syrup or juice so I imagine frozen would be the closest.
