Boo! Finally back... - update & question
MM'sMama wrote: Hey all!
I know I have been completely MIA for far to long. Sorry everyone.
Update: We are finally all moved in and for the most part unpacked at our new house. . We have been here for a month now but finally got to unpacking things. DH and I are doing wonderfully , time alone to reconnect really did wonders. He loved his Valentines gifts so much (for those that were wondering ). I am done working full time (thank god ) So I am only working 2 days a week now. Which I love I get to spend more time with my babies and still stay sane (well if you can call me that ) and bring in a little extra, its been really nice. Kiddo's are all great getting far to big far to fast. Nothing really new here I know we are boring. I resently pulled Brice out of pre-k. He started coming home with far to many "fell down" bruises . When this first started happening I would ask him what happened and he would say he "fell down". But he started coming home with more and more bruises (sp?). I feel like a bad mommy for not doing something sooner but I also didn't want to wrongly point fingers ether . The iceing on the cake was he came home with a fairly big bruise on his fore-arm and I asked him what happened and he said "can't tell mommy, can't tell mommy" and started crying. WW3 broke out! Come to fidn out this is NOT the first time this teacher has had child abuse problems come out! WTF don't these people do background checks anymore?!?!?! There is going to be a full investigation and hopfully I will know more soon. I am just so sick about this! I hope this lady pays big time! Now my question is who all has put there kids into pre-k? Should I find him a new school? I just don't know. I want to never let him out of my sight again but I know I can't do that. Non of my sibs or I ever went to pre-k. What do you all think?
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Glad to see you're back! Sorry to hear the news about Brice's school. You did the right thing IMO and you will find something else soon. Since we live in the same city, do you mind sending me a PM with the name of the school? That's scary!
kimberley replied: wecome back! glad you are dh are reconnecting and things are going well. that pre-k sounds like a nightmare. i don't blame you for pulling him out. keeping him home is not a bad thing if that's what you are asking. just get some resources off the net, library etc and teach him yourself. you can go to the park, story time or a play group for socialization too. i doubt either of my girls will go to preK they grow so fast and i really don't want to miss any of it if i don't have to
Edward's Mommy replied: Schools are supposed to be a home away from home in a way. You want your child to feel safe and you want to trust the people who are there with you children during the day. Chris and I have decided that we are going to homeschool Edward for that reason. And for the Columbine High Shooting. I was a freshman in high school when that happened and my school wasn't that far from Columbine....so that's another reason why I want to homeschool Edward.
MM'sMama replied: Thanks everyone
And Rae will do no prob.
A&A'smommy replied: YAY Welcome back I have been wondering about you!!! I'm so happy for you and your dh I'm glad he liked him presents thats wonderful!!
OMG Poor Brice how awful for you too!!! I think you should just follow your heart and do what you think is best for him... maybe look into a few schools and see if you think he needs to be there!!
Chiflata2003 replied: Welcome back. I'm so sorry that the teacher hurt your boy.

I just wrote a post to you, and then I saw this one! I'm SOOOOO GLAD YOU'RE BACK! I've missed you girl!
I am soooooo sorry that Bryce was treated this way! No child should ever be a victim like that, and by the hands of someone you thought you trusted. It's such a scary thought, to put your child in a daycare/pre-K with teachers you don't know.
At my job, they do an extensive backgroud check, I'm surprised they didn't do that. When you are looking at other schools, ask them what type of background check they do. (and references don't count as a background check) They should be fingerprinted, with an extensive background check.
I really hope this woman gets what's coming to her! I would be so upset, I wouldn't be able to rest until I knew she was punished. I just pray that Bryce will be able to come through this quickly, and give him lots of hugs & reassurance.
On a lighter note, I'm so happy your DH liked the Valentines present! And you had a chance to reconnect. I've been thinking alot about you, and I'm so glad you are back!
