Book suggestions - new baby gift
Brias3 wrote: I'm heading into Chicago to see my cousin next weekend and already got a couple of small gifts for a basket to bring them (outfit, blanket, sunhat, TY bear, etc.) and I'd like to add a book or two.
Any suggestions for great "first" books? I'd like to give them some "classics".
I've thought of a few already but am interested to hear other ideas.
Thanks!
MoonMama replied: What about...What To Expect, The First Year & What To Expect, The Toddler Years?
Brias3 replied: Good ideas! I acutally got her What to Expect the First Year for a shower gift too
I was mainly looking for children's books though- I suppose I wasn't specific in my post.
Thanks for the ideas though!
Keep em coming!
MoonMama replied: Silly me sorry I'm a little out of it with everything going on. I think the books I liked most that Brae received were the Dr. Seuss & Little Golden Books, but those aren't really firsts I guess...hmmm....sorry I am not more help.
luvmykids replied: One of my all time favorites is "Love you Forever". We also really like "Goodnight Moon" and "Are You My Mother".
A baby book that we enjoyed a lot was "Pat the Bunny" (I think thats the name) which was a cute touchy feely book.
MoonMama replied: Oh that one is great, I LOVED that one still have my copy from when I was a tiny baby of course its been taped back together and loved to pieces.
CantWait replied: Love you forever.
Jamison'smama replied: Our favorites (not really classics)
Goonight Gorilla Rock-a-bye farm Peek-a-boo kisses
and our favorite Peek-A-Moo
mom21kid2dogs replied: ANYTHING by Sandra Boynton. We love them all. Pajama Time was my daughter's fav for years.
ZandersMama replied: Love you forever definitely. I still have my first copy, I got my boys a new one so I wouldn't have to share
Calimama replied: Totally agree!
Brias3 replied: Great ideas! Love You Forever is already in the basket
Thanks, all!
