Boy names - suggestions please
mama3x wrote: Ok I am going nuts with DH - just as with DD, we cannot agree on anything. I was hoping that you guys could suggest any unusual boy name starting with D!
Now I don't mean crazy unusual (the kind people would look at you and go HUH or how in the world do you pronounce that), just not David or Daniel or Donald. I've combed the internet and nothing really popped out at me.
Thanks in advance, I know this is a broad question.
Littlejojames replied: What are you other children called??? and your last name???
Littlejojames replied: Such a dizzy girl. Your names are at the bottom of your sigg...
What about
Bailey Owen McKenzie
God my head has gone blank did have loads of names now cant think....... Blaming pregnancy
redchief replied: Dustin, Darius, Dolph, Dean (my personal favorite ), Dewey, Deacon, Dale, Drew.
Suggest staying away from Dummy, Dork, Dimwit, and Ditzy. I've been called all of those and don't find any of them to be very complimentary.
ediep replied: oh, I like Dean and Drew.....great ideas redcheif
ediep replied: I knew a Darren when I was a kid
DansMom replied: Here are my offerings (some are on the previous lists): Donovan, Dustin, Devon, Deaglan (Irish), Dennis, Derek, Dean, Dante, Dexter, Deacon, Drew and Dominick.
Hey, what's wrong with Daniel anyway LOL! Just kidding---I knew it was on the top 10 names list, but DH and I could only agree on that or Joseph. I can't wait to hear what you decide when you decide!
coasterqueen replied: One of my favs is Dalton. But we aren't using that one. We tried to convice SIL to name her boy Dalton but she named him Wyat instead.
Littlejojames replied: OH D UUURRR having a bad day sorry
David Dwight Dawson Damien Davy Dean Duncan Denzel Donny Dennis Daniel
Hope these help
amynicole21 replied: Devon Devlin Drake Drew Denny
kimberley replied: i like Devon, Damian, Dante, Dimitri, Darius and Dustin.
booey2 replied: I don't have any suggestions other than have a look in the bible there are some interesting names there. I looked when I was pg with both my boys, DH wouldn't agree on any of the ones I wanted from it thou.
jolene555 replied: okay, i don't know what religious backround you have, but i am catholic and have always loved the name Dismis. it was my father's confirmation name - it is the name that was on the cross to the right of Jesus. we believe he was the first man to enter heaven. i have always loved the story, and he could go by the nickname "dizzy".
maybe i'm just odd like that.
3_call_me_mama replied: Dustin, Devon, Derrik, Darren, (DH is a Dennis but I wouldn't suggest because everyone called him dennsi the menace! LOL) and a fav of mine Declan. I'm sure what ever you decide will fit him perfectly! Good luck!
paradisemommy replied: I like Dallas, Drew (though his real name was Andrew) and Dillon (probably my favorite)..
kit_kats_mom replied: Well, my middle name is Dylan but I think that's pretty popular right now...but I think the Dillon is the most popular spelling.
I knew a super hottie named Donovan and one named Dean so I really like those two.
paradisemommy replied: how about dusty or dirk (my sister loves that one)..
kit_kats_mom replied: Dirk Totally makes me think of Boogie Nights...Dirk Diggler. ROFL
paradisemommy replied: rofl..that movie was SOOO funny!!
A&A'smommy replied: HEYY that is what I was going to suggest If Alyssa had been a boy she would have been Dalton William or William Dalton
mama3x replied: I actually love the name Daniel but here in Hawai`i (or at least the places I go), there always seems to be Daniels, Davids, Dylans, Dennis', Deans, Darrens, and some variant of Donald!
Dylan is DH's nephew's name...Dustin and Devin are DH's co-workers' sons' names...Dirk sounds too much like another less nice word per DH...LOL I could go on. DH is a pain. But oh well!
Actually I thought about Dallas since he likes the Cowboys (I hate 'em though but like the meaning of Dallas: "wise") but the Dallas' he's heard of are girls (while I only heard of boy Dallas').
What do you guys think about Dayson (like Jason but with a D). The meaning of Jason is "healer".
Thanks all who have posted so far!
