Larry Birkhead is the father, but he may not necessarily get custody since Howard K Stern is on the birth cert.

Howard Stern has already said that he will not fight him for custody. He only wants a "gradual transition" for Dannielynn's best interests... understandable I suppose... if only he'd not been trying to protect her best interests for the past 7 months I might actually believe him! And he wants to ensure that Larry will get sole custody (that Virgie Arthur will have nothing to do with her).

And actually, now that Birkhead has been named the biological father, regardless of whether Howard's name is on the birth certificate, he really wouldn't have a leg to stand on. Howard would have to have proof of adoption and well, he doesn't. Basically he and Anna just lied on the certificate... that wouldn't hold up real well in court.

I was not at all surprised by that. Not for a second.

Hopefully LB will get his lawyer to get HKS to hand over the baby very, very soon. I wouldnt agree to a "graduated handover" at all.

I think LB will do very well as a father. He was trying to be involved with this child before ANS died, and IMO, it has NOTHING to do with the $$, I think he really wants to be a father to his child, and so I hope things work out for the two (him & baby) of them.
