Breast Feeding poll - How long did you BF?

mckayleesmom replied: I breastfed Mckaylee for about a month and then pumped and fomula fed....she was really really really not into breastfeeding...I tried everything.

With Russell I did for 3 months and had to stop for medical reasons.

5littleladies replied: I breastfed all my kids until about a year. They all self-weaned at around that time. I'm still breastfeeding Lissa-She's 6 1/2 months.

MM'sMama replied: I BF Brice for about a year and a half and I'm still BF/bottle feeding (with brest milk) Caroline and she 6 1/2 months.

~Roo'sMama~ replied: I can't really vote since I'm not done yet, but I'm planning on breastfeeding Andrew until he's at least one. I'd like him to wean sometime soon after he turns one to give me a bit of a break (and get completely rid of my thrush ) before the new baby is born.

CAMSMOM1 replied: I breastfeed Cam until he was 6 months old. I wish I could've gone longer, but my milk dried up when I went back to work at that time. But 6 months gave him a great start. If I could've lasted past 6 months, I would've wanted to BF till he was a year old.

(on a side note) I noticed that after I stopped BFing at 6 months old, he started to get ear infections and caught colds frequently. (he never did when I was BF). Another reason, I wish I could've continued longer.

giffmom replied: I just didn't have enough milk to give all that he wanted so had to stop because after I started to supplement he would not latch on he had nipple confusion the peditrician said I hope that I have enough milk for this baby

coasterqueen replied: Kylie was 24 months when she weaned. Megan is still currently nursing at 12.5 months.

holley79 replied: I chose 6 month to a year even though Annika is only 3 months right now. I plan on bf that long.

My2Beauties replied: 6 weeks here, I was having too many issues when I went back to work with BFing so I weaned her. I plan on BFing longer if I have another little one
