Btw, obviously at some point even if you only BF you will be adding solid foods so when I say BF exclusively, it exludes formula but not baby food.

and he ate all the time!
I wish I had with andrew but he also showed the food allergies so we had been asked to stop. I regret that decision...but its done.

bawoodsmall replied: Em was exclusively b/f till about 10 months then she decided she was over it so I was fine with that. She then had formula for a couple weeks but then just juice in a sippy and made sure she had plenty of other stuff for the milk.

Aiden b/f for about 9 months then formula till he was 13 months. I have issues with him cuz I now know 1000 million percent he had reflux and that is why he never nursed well. I kick myself every day for not telling them we are putting him on meds regardless.

A&A'smommy replied: I had hoped to exclusivly bf for at least a year BUT Autumn wasn't growing so I bf for 2months and then started supplementing and I'm still bf and supplementing I will bf until she stops. Alyssa was a formula baby only

Crystalina replied: With both mine it was 50/50. I had to say bf in the hospital but as soon as I got home I added formula. I did that for about 2 yrs with Izabella and with Evan it was only a little over a year and that was d/t his teeth. He was a nibbler and I wasn't having that.

I would have LOVED to BF for at least the first year, but I'm sure many of you remember my issues I had with that... I unfortunately had to supplement.

Bamamom replied: I bf each of mine for 7 months. With Tripp I quit as soon as I knew I was pg with Katie. With Katie I tried to bf while pg but she was having enought trouble gaining weight without a milk shortage working against her so I finally started formula.

mammag replied: The only one I didn't bf for 2years or more was Kristen. That was more because I was working and the flow decreased so much. She breastfed at night until about 18mos. I also had Cade when she was 14mos so that contributed as well.

MyBlueEyedBabies replied: none... Katy was almost exclusively ff, Matt was bf for 6 weeks, stopped due to no weight gain (as in he was still under his birth weight), and Johnny 4 months, but stopped when he lost weight even after his surgery.

Swood75 replied: With Kameron,I BF for only about a week and had to start using formula because he was constantly losing weight and was wanting to BF 24 hrs a day..(I think I just didn't know what I was doing)..With Kyleigh,she was about 2 months when I stopped due to both of us getting thrush really bad and it was too painful for me to try anymore ..And with this one I am hoping to go for anywhere between 6 months to a year or possibly longer depending..

luvmykids replied: The twins got BM for almost a year, but I didn't BF the whole time, I pumped for a good part of it. Macie was more like 7mos.

BabyOwen427 replied: I breastfed until 19 months. I would have loved to continue longer but we went on vacation to SC and were there for two weeks and he would not nurse in the hotel room no matter how much I tried, too many different sights and sounds. We were down to one feeding a day anyways.

Jack only BF for about 5 months

A&A'smommy replied: I am SOOO jealous, i SOOO wish I could exculsivly bf but she was NOT gaining and she is still kinda small but at the same time she has gained 4lbs in 6weeks. I actually have a weird question but i will save that for later

I bf Giselle until her 3rd birthday, when we finally made the decision to stop- we told her 3 year olds were big girls and couldn't have "Chi chi".

With Brian, I'm a little worried, because I don't think my new schedule is as flexible to allow for pumping. I think it's something I might have to discuss with my boss. I'm also not sure that I will have a place to do it. I'm worried I might have to supplement with formula- not because it's so horrible, but because it's so $$$$$$$.

holley79 replied: I beastfed and very little FF till Annika was a year old. Then after a year it was breast and solids. She didn't really take to solids till she was 14 months old and we weaned a month before her second birthday. She would still be nursing if I let her. She was a boob addict. I pumped on my breaks while I was at work.
