MyLuvBugs replied: We lived in that Inland Empire area for 3 years. UGH. It was horrible. I'm just NOT of the California mentality, or at least not of that area. But we did love the fact that we were only 45 minutes from Disneyland.

No wonder you moved. Santa Barbara is one of the most expensive places to live in Cali, but such a nice place to visit.

Our Lil' Family replied: We vacationed to San Fran and Tahoe a couple years ago and LOVED it!!! Can't wait to go back, especially to Tahoe.

All over.....I was born in Pico Rivera (sp?), I grew up in Norwalk till I was 10...then we moved around alot after that....West Covina, Fontana, Hemet and LaVern mainly.

My dad, grandmother and little brother and sister live in Pomona. I have an older sister that lives in Riverside and another older sister that lives in Hemet.

luvmykids replied: My dad lives in San Diego, we visit every few years. We go to Palm Springs almost every year for a golf tournament. I LOVE Palm Springs. We'll be there in September.

I live about 3 1/2 hours from there. (I think) I've only been there once a long time ago. Maybe we could met up! That would be so fun!!!!!

Yep! Luckily both sets of parents still live there, plus my sister and her family, so it makes for a GREAT place to visit and not have to pay for an expensive hotel!

I used to go to Palm Springs at least once a year as a kid...I love the heat! We also have family in San Diego, Orange County (Irvine) and Riverside. I hate LA! DH's sister lives in Hollywood, like right off of Melrose - cute neighborhood, but I hate the scene. And the traffic!

On mapquest it says closer to 6 hours, but maybe thats not the best route, I usually fly into Ontario, is that any closer to you or is it the other direction?

I would love to get to meet up! MIL and her DH always come watch the kids while we go, DH goes for about a week or longer and I go for about 4 days.
