jolene555 replied: i had quit drinking caffiene nearly a year before i got pregnant, and for completely seperate reasons. and by quit i don't include chocolate - that's just crazy. towards my 9th month i had serious cravings for pepsi, and did start drinking it, but no more than twice a week. i am very happy that i did't have any caffiene for most of my pregnany.
DansMom replied: It really helped me sometimes. I had a 3/4 cup of coffee in the am, and occasionally a half-cup boost in the afternoon. The midwife said it would not be a problem, and actually she recommended small amounts of coffee as needed to help with constipation.
~Roo'sMama~ replied: I didn't vote cuz my pregnancy is far from over and I'll probably cave in at least a couple more times! I'm trying to stay away from it completely (except of course from chocolate ) but I've had a coke and a dr. pepper in the last 2 months. The coke was sort of disappointing but the Dr. Pepper was soooo good.... I want MORE!!
mama3x replied: I actually developed food aversion to coca-cola, coffee, and chocolate with DD. This time around, same thing but I have been able to eat some chocolate here and there.
ediep replied: when I was preg with Jason, I completely gave up caffiene, it was very hard because I really love coffee and I was waking up at 5am for work. Boy, was I tired
coasterqueen replied: When I was pg with Kylie I completely gave up caffeine. I might have had one or two caffeinated beverages during the entire pg, if any. BUT I did have my fair share of chocolate, though.
This time I've had a few caf beverages and my share of chocolate. Not doing so good this time but trying.
Lollie replied: Hi mommies
Well I used to drink coffee quitwe often before I became preggo with Bri and then I went right of it and have stayed off.The smell of coffee just makes me feel sick!
I do have a cup of tea occassionally but I prefer my fruit juices and my milk.
A&A'smommy replied: I very rarely drank caffeine
toddzgurl replied: I have a caffine problem if I don't have atleast 2 pops I have headaches and get really dizzy and tired.
greatkate replied: I have to have caffiene or I get headaches (symptom of addiction) I do limit it now. At first I gave up coffee all together because before I was drinking three cups a day. That was easy, but with constipation and the fear of hemmoroids, I am back to one cup on the morning, but its a kind by maxwell house called "half caff" which is half th ecaffeine as normal coffee, so I dont feel as bad.
MyBlueEyedBabies replied: I drank as much as I wanted...usually 1 or 2 cokes a day. My dr. told me to go for it because I was so sick that hopefully going with something really sugary some of the calories would make it into my system before it all came back up
dreamweaver82 replied: I was a major caffeine addict before i became pregnant but the minute i found out that i was pregnant i quit totally now i only drink de-caff. I've read to much about caffeine not being good and so on. I didn't drink caffeine with Angel and she came out so healthy that i'm sticking to what i did with her. I can't wait until i can drink real coffee again.
Mommy2BAK replied: I am seriously addicted to Coke-a-Cola. And when I got pregnant I tried to cut back to just a few a day as opposed to the 5 or so I would normally drink in a day.
LovingmyBoriqua replied: When I was pregnant with my kids i didnt drink Caffine because everyone told me caffine wasnt good for the baby. But i realize when I was in L&D one morning when i was having contractions one of the triage nurses gave me diet coke to wake my baby up.. So i guess caffine is okay or not... This happen when i was pregnant with EJ but i was sent home according the nurse i was having braxton hicks contractions... :/ my baby was coming to slow because when i went to my last prenatal check up i was still 3cm dilation and they schedule an appt Jan 3 for induction... Oh Ej was late... My EDD was Dec 26th i was induced on the 3rd of Jan
AshleyRose replied: I have to have my morning cup of coffee or else I am a grumpy old troll! Then if I feel really tired around 3 pm and I don't feel like taking a nap I will have a cup of tea! I only do the second cup (tea) once in a blue moon really. So I voted 1-2. I have been drinking coffee so long that if I do not have that morning cup, I have this pounding head ache all day long.... along with troll syndrome .
