Can I get some pt's for Megan

Also, more importantly, Megan will go for an upper GI/bowel xray on Friday. We had it scheduled a while back but decided not to do it. Now that things aren't improving for her and we are on the waiting list to see a PED GI doctor, they have requested she get it done. I'm a nervous wreck because the appt is this Friday at 8 am and she is to go without any nursing from 4 am to 8 am. At 8 am Dh will have to feed her a bottle of barium for them to do the xray. Well for one 4 am to 9 am is a HUGE HUGE nursing time for Megan. So I'm going to have to refuse her that entire time and that is going to KILL me. The other thing is she has taken a few bottles but it's a fight to get her to take it. This is going to be so hard on ALL of us. I really don't want to do it but we need answers for her reflux. I just hope we DO get answers from it.

Any pt's for this Friday would be very helpful. Especially hoping that she'll sleep from 4 am to 8 am so it would be a bit easier on all of us.

But you have to keep calm bc she will sence that and upset her.

I used to let Ed hold Erin alot for all her eye surgeries this way she wouldnt expect me to nurse her.

I think you need to be not near her as much as possible during that 4 hr window, as difficult as that will be.

amymom replied: I know each testing tech is different. But from what I remember when I had Mary Beth's test done (almost 8 years ago now), we gave her the barium in the bottle, then they wanted her to take a full bottle as well, but she was fighting it so I was able to nurse her for a short time, just to keep her (and me ) calm.
