Can anyone tell me why my post was removed?

jennysteurer wrote: I posted earlier about an experience that I had in which my 3.5 year old son was lost at a festival for a half an hour. I'm wondering why it was removed, was it because I also spoke of the children's book that I wrote? If so, I'd gladly remove that part of the post if there is a rule about not promoting one's own self interest.

The main reason I posted and the reason for writing the book and starting my non-profit foundation was to educate other parents about this important issue.

Also, if anyone knows why the post was removed, I'd really appreciate knowing as well.

Thanks!

Maddie&EthansMom replied: dunno.gif I saw it earlier. Maybe one of the moderators can answer your question. wink.gif

kimberley replied: i am a mod, but i wasn't the one who removed your post so i am not sure. if i had to guess why it was removed, i would think it was viewed as spam since your only posts to the board were to promote your book. dunno.gif

eta: thanks for sharing your story. one mom's horror story is another mom's saving grace. i am glad everything turned out okay for you. find a mommy is a great idea!

aspenblue1 replied: I was reading it earlier not sure what happened to it.

A&A'smommy replied: I read it too thanks for sharing your experience with us I can't amagine how scared you must have been!

DansMom replied: I was moved by your story. I'm guessing the removal had to do with the link to the book---I think there is a policy about that. I've had one horrible moment of panic in a toy store, and I can't imagine that moment turning into 30 minutes. The moment I couldn't find Daniel and he didn't respond to my calls, my knees started to give out and I got tunnel vision (literally, things got black around the edges), and I truly had the sensation that my heart stopped. I've never felt anything like that. Fortunately, he was just wandering around a bookcase and ignoring me completely. I will do anything I can to educate him to make good decisions if we ever get separated again.

loveydad replied: Wow that's scary!

MommyToAshley replied: I didn't get to see your post, but I am assuming it had to do with the link as well. Do you have the story written out that you could copy and paste, without the link? I would be interested in reading it.

jennysteurer replied: I'm not sure I understand. Are you trying to get to the website to hear the story of what happened or do you mean that you'd like the text from the book?

I'll save your id and send you a copy of the text as soon as it is published.

Thank you so much for your interest in this very important issue.

aspenblue1 replied: I think Dee Dee is trying to hear the story of what happened.

MommyToAshley replied:
Yes, I was interested in hearing your story. Sorry if I was confusing.

party-of-six replied: I just read your post....it is still there.
