Can you help settle a debate?

PrairieMom wrote: I think my mom is nuts.
She says that her Dr told her I was born breech because she worked the dunk-tank at her town's 4th of july celebration. All that getting dunked made me flip in utero. dry.gif Okay, weather that is possible or not...

I was born March 16th, and she says I was 2 weeks early. So, I take that to mean I was born at 38 weeks.
She said she doesn't remember how far along she was durring the 4th of july, but she could still wear a bikini, but her bbs were HUGE.

I say this is impossible. if she WAS PG, it would be just barely, and she maybe didn't even know. She said that she never actually took a PG test, she just "knew" she was PG. is my mom nuts?

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Well it's hard to imagine you were breech from the time she conceived. If I'm reading your post right that is. I think it's very possible that she "knew" she was PG because of the big boobs and women's intuition, but the whole breech thing from being in the dunk tank just seems a bit far fetched to me. Now if she was in the tank right before delivering, well maybe.

luvmykids replied: I think you're right, she would have been just barely pg if you were actually due at the end of March. At that point the dunk tank wouldn't have had much affect, I mean that was PLENTY of time for you to turn. Mothers rolleyes.gif

eta: Not only was that plenty of time for you to turn, but it wouldn't have mattered anyway. At that point in gestation you're what, the size of a pea?

lovemy2 replied: Do the math - I am thinking the dunk tank had nothing to do with your being breech.....I was told when I freaked out to my OB about having two glasses of wine the nite before I found out I was pregnant with Dylan that the baby isn't even attached to you by an umbilical cord at that point!

PrairieMom replied: I KNOW!!! AUGH! I hate being right when there is no way to convince the other person they are wrong!!!!! growl.gif laugh.gif

amymom replied:
Tara, I know what you mean. But some day she will be old and senile and you can tell your kids about what Grandma thought. biggrin.gif But be kind, because they will tell stories about you someday! wacko.gif

My MIL has the weirdest notions about things and there is no convincing her she is wrong. I could tell stories!!!

PrairieMom replied:
some day? laugh.gif I think she is going senile already. rolleyes.gif I hope it doesn't run in the family. rolling_smile.gif

HuskerMom replied: Maybe the Dr's nuts! rolling_smile.gif

Our Lil' Family replied: Thomas was due March 27th and I did not know I was pregnant for the 4th of July. I was indeed pregnant but did not find out until July 19th, 2 days late.

Cece00 replied: I think your mom's kinda nuts biggrin.gif wink.gif

Miranda1127 replied: hahaha i don't know why but your post just made me laugh till i cryed. i love when people "know" things. rolling_smile.gif

PrairieMom replied:
Yeah. I did a backwards due date calculation to see when she conceived, and it said July 7th. So, I'm gonna guess she wasn't even PG. rolleyes.gif Once she gets something into her head tho, there is no getting it out. rolleyes.gif

For all you prego-s out there tho, better stay out of the dunk tank, just in case. rolleyes.gif laugh.gif

lisar replied: Lexi was breech, she never turned. I always heard that they turn around 20-25 weeks. But Lexi never did. If your mom was barley pg at the time then I dont see how that would have made you breech.

redplaydoh replied: She's nuts! wacko.gif emlaugh.gif
