jdkjd replied: No baby yet. They put her on Pitocin to help her contractions along and she apparently is pretty comfortable.

BUT they are going to break her waters as soon as the Dr. gets there, so she should be having the baby pretty darn soon.

jdkjd replied: Sorry guys!! No baby yet. Apparently, she was getting pretty worn out so they gave her an epidural. (Which she was really hoping to avoid) And she was only about 4 cm at around 2 p.m.

And the baby's heartbeat is decelerating when she has a good contraction, so they are really hoping that the baby comes soon or they are talking about a c-section. Which she REALLY didn't want to do. So please send positive vibes her way.

Ugh. I just wish I could be there.

jdkjd replied: Lauren's not here yet, but the epi seemed to calm Cary and Lauren down and they re-started pitocin.

She's about 5 to 5 1/2 cm dilated but the baby seems to be taking the contractions better, so Cary is trying to hold out for the vaginal.
