Christian's "mini-emergency" - Dr. Daddy to the rescue

C&K*s Mommie wrote: Christian had a mini-emergency late last night. I will try not to bore anyone reading this with the long details, but Chris has a large slim box with a framed jersey in it. The glass on the frame broke in the box, and Chris left some glass unknowingly in the box with the packing peanuts the girls were playing with. Later when the box was on the floor, Christian had her toe slashed by the glass inside the box. She insisted on going to the hospital, too after that.

Long story short, Chris was already at the store at this time, so he picked up a first aid kit for us. He went to work on putting the dressing on her toe, as soon as he got home. She held up well , except when she saw the blood that freaked her out , but she was really strong throughout the beginning of the toe cutting to the end when he took care of it.

C&K*s Mommie replied: Here is a pic of her resting waiting for daddy to come home. I did not want to her pants back on for fear that I would scrape her open wound some. So hope you do not mind the half-clothedness. The bedding underneath the blue blanket had a small dot of blood, so she would not lie down unless that was covered first.

C&K*s Mommie replied: She had a little pain, but she would count to 20, when that came on. That was my way of distracting her last night from when I was trying to stop the bleeding. She had to have band-aids all over, she even added a little improv when asking for a band-aid. It was 'ooohhh my hand hurts" or "owwww my other toe, daddy!".

Other than that, she has been great. Now the test will be when I go to give them a bath here in a minute.
