Christmas/Holiday Plans

sunrosejenn wrote: What are you doing for Christmas/Holiday this year? Eliana and I will be driving 9 hours on Dec 23rd to go visit my family.

Sarah&Mackenzie replied: Christmas Eve we will go to my Grandma and Grandaddies house. Christmas day my parents will come over in the morning and then in the afternoon we will go to my dh's family. The day after Christmas we have Christmas with my mom and brothers and sister's families.

booey2 replied: Christmas Eve day we drive 1 hour to Cambridge, spend the day with my sister and then the evening with my side of the family about 80 people, then drive back so Santa can find the boys at home in the morning. Then I think we will have DH's dad and brother over for dinner on Christmas day. Then back to Cambridge either boxing day or the day after. We are off between Christmas and New Years so we are spending the time with the boys. I booked it as holiday time and so did DH.

~Roo'sMama~ replied: We are driving four hours to my parents house for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. happy.gif Hopefully my brother will be there so he can see Andrew for the first time!

Jamison'smama replied: Jack and I are flying to Tulsa--DH and Jama are driving the 13 hours!

moped replied: We are flying to my hometown and I can't wait!!!! I miss them so very much!!!!!

A&A'smommy replied: well we are going to mississippi to see Jeremiahs fathers family for a couple of hours (seems kinda dumb because we are driving kinda far rolleyes.gif ) and then we will be back and forth between inlaws, my parents and my grandparents.. it should be a fun filled weekend

mammag replied: It's going to be a pretty quiet Christmas here. None of my sisters or brother will be home. SIL and her boyfriend will be here but that's it. My MIL & Parents both live close so we will spend time with both. It will be nice.

mummy2girls replied: me ... me and jenna will spend christmas eve with aron and his family... and then christmas day me and jenna will unwrap santas presents and then m,y parents are going to have something small on christmas day as well... where jenna will recieve her kitchen. Im so excited to see her face!

Michaelsmommy032504 replied: Christmas Eve we will be going to DH's family and....then Christmas Day we are spending it with my family...then Christmas night...we are having a small get together for my mother and father to exchange gifts

kimberley replied: staying home, possibly having a baby tongue.gif family is all coming to us this year for obvious reasons smile.gif

PrairieMom replied: I have to work over the holidays, so We will be celebrating once the week after Chrismas with the inlaws, and once Jan 9th with my family. We like to really drag things out here! blink.gif

PhiMuMommy replied: my christmas starts on Tuesday at my sisters with my immediate family.. then alex goes to his dad's friday and comes home around 4 christmas eve (maybe later cuz i have to put together his bed christmas eve.. and that may take a while..lol. ) then christmas with santa at my house on that morning.. then we are going to my grandma's in missouri the 27-30 . whew.. wears me out thinking about it..lol.

MamaJAM replied: We're going over to my parents early in the day on Dec 25....we usually see them around dinner-time and give my brother's kids their Christmas gifts then - but Hanukkah begins that night and we always make sure to be home as a family on the first and last nights of Hanukkah (with no visitors) -- so we'll be heading home no later than 4pm.

We usually don't get together with ILs at all for the few days right around Christmas (too many issues there about the holidays) -- but DH's grandparents are visiting just for the weekend and we've agreed to visit for a short time right after synagogue services Sat (we'll get there around 12:30-1:00 and leave before 3). I'm REALLY dreading the whole thing.

For Hanukkah - most of the nights we're home doing our own thing.....lighting the menorahs - making latkes - having our annual family 'dreidel competition'. We might go to a party the one night at a friend's house - but not sure if that'll work out this year.

sunrosejenn replied: plans revised - Eliana and I will be alone - won't be going home for Christmas
