Christmas eve or Christmas morning?

Calimama wrote: For those of you who celebrate Christmas when do you open the presents?

bawoodsmall replied: With dh's fam on the eve, our own fam(like us and our kids only) is on Christmas. How can santa come before christmas?

Calimama replied:
That's what I was wondering for those who open on Christmas Eve.

stella6979 replied: We always open ours on Christmas morning, however the In-laws are coming over on Christmas Eve so we'll open some presents. smile.gif

BAC'sMom replied: We open gifts Christmas Eve but Santa gifts come on Christmas morning wink.gif

CantWait replied: One on Christmas Eve, the rest Christmas morning.

Cece00 replied: We open the first bunch of presents on Christmas Eve. Then Santa comes overnight & he leaves more presents.

Maddie&EthansMom replied: We're going to my parent's house tomorrow and they will open gifts from their cousins and from each other over there. Christmas day they will open their gifts from Santa.

AlexsPajamaMama replied: On Christmas Eve morning we go to Dh's parents. This year I had to tell Alex that Santa makes two trips and goes to Gram's on a differant day than ours! He was alright with that....even though they live right next door!!

Christmas morning we do presents at home and then go to my Dad's.

luvbug00 replied: Both, at lars's house we will do the german tradition of the eve and my parents the next day on the morning of christmas.

Nina J replied: Christmas Day. I have never met anyone who opens presents on Christmas Eve.

luvmykids replied: As a kid I always got to open one on CEve, a pair of Christmas jammies. But now we don't do anything until Christmas Day, except this year...we'll be going to my parents house on CEve and exchanging gifts with them, then we'll do MIL and Santa Christmas morning, and again at DH's grandmas rolleyes.gif

MommyToAshley replied: We're getting togethter with my family (grandparents, cousins, etc) tonight and will exchange gifts. Then we do everything else on Christmas day.

~Roo'sMama~ replied: We're going to my parent's house tomorrow night so we'll be there for Christmas morning and open presents then. But since we won't be home on Christmas morning, we're going to have our own little family Christmas tomorrow morning. I don't like opening anything before Christmas day (it seems so wrong to me laugh.gif ) but until we start staying home for Christmas this is the way it'll be. happy.gif

Jackie012007 replied: We usually did them on Christmas day, divided between the two families we have to see. This year, I am having my parents and both grandparents over on Christmas Eve for a big family dinner, and then we will open presents and let Carly open half of her presents so they get to watch. Then Christmas Day, we will go to Carl's parents house for a brunch around 10am and bring the presents for them and the other half of Carly's gifts, so they can watch her open them too. Carl and I have already exchanged gifts throughout this week - I hate opening gifts in front of people, especially sentimental ones from him. SO we did a present a day all wekk - it was really fun!
