Christmas lights on your house

Anyone decorate their houses for Christmas and want to share the pictures? I'll post ours after I fix the damage that was done from whoever stole a couple of our decorations last night....

mom21kid2dogs replied: Yeah, we do. we're doing nothing to reduce our carbon footprint . I'll take some & post them. My husband works SO hard on them!! They always look wonderful.

CantWait replied: Normally I do, but there's to many logistics involved with Canadian lights and Europian sockets, and I don't want to spend the money on lights for only three years. I can't wait to see everyone's pictures though.

MommyToAshley replied: We put lights out each year... I'll have to take a pic and post it. This year wasn't as grand as previous years as I just wasn't into it as much this year.

I am sorry someone stole some of your decorations, that's horrible.

PrairieMom replied: we didn't put lights on teh house this year, Around here a lot of people cut back, I don't know if it was because it was so cold to put stuff up, or the cost of the energy or what. the people across the street have some of those fake deer and lights and what not, so we enjoy theirs.

lisar replied: I cant believe someone would steal christmas decorations. Thats just wrong. And no we do not put up lights. I live at the end of a dead end dirt road. I do have lights around the back porch but they stay up year round

one year we had someone clip the chords on our lights. that was pretty lame. That was back when I was in HS, and you know how kids are.

DVFlyer replied: Yup.... couldn't believe it either. I just saw a news story about people stealing xmas lights where the home owners had cameras.... you could watch the people drive up and take their decorations.

We have a few lighted presents and some lighted candy canes. They took one of the presents and tore the wires right out of the strand of candy canes. They are individually staked so I'm guessing they yanked on them and ripped the wire.

mom21kid2dogs replied: Because we lived by the high school, our neighborhood was frequently vandalized at Christmas. Oddly, it's gotten better in the past 5 years here. Go figure!! It's very annoying to do all that work and have it ruined by some spoiled brat!
