Claudia fell out of her HighChair!

Kirstenmumof3 wrote: bawling.gif I turned my back just for a second! I feel so awful! My guess is that she decided to stand up and when she did she fell forward, but for some reason she landed on her back, not her stomach! She hit her head pretty hard on the floor, it took her a while to stop crying! sad.gif I feel just awful! Our dog hasn't left her side, very protective of her! She seems doing be doing just fine now, she ate supper and has been running and playing!

CantWait replied: Oh gosh how scary. I'm glad Claudia is ok. Big hugs to both of you grouphug.gif grouphug.gif

I am glad she is doing ok, but it must have been scary! Don't beat yourself up over it, accidents happen... they've happened to all of us.

DansMom replied: Poor Claudia! That is scary. Daniel's been standing up in the highchair lately---he can wriggle out of the strap like it's not even there! I walk 10 feet away to get a washcloth, and when I come back he's about to topple over. He did topple over on his new childsize rocking chair two weeks ago. We knew he was trying to stand on it, so we put a big pillow under the runners to keep it from going over backward, but someone visiting had moved the pillow! I've been getting nervous about this----can't leave him alone in any room for a second now. If you come up with a good solution to the highchair problem let me know---maybe we need to move them to booster seats?

amynicole21 replied: Oh my!!! I'm so sorry! Glad she seems to have gotten over it so quickly, though. Poor baby sad.gif

A&A'smommy replied: awww poor darling!!!!! ((((HUGS))) for both of you!!!!

paradisemommy replied: how scary..i know - i thought parenting got easier the older they get!! lol..i only see it getting harder!

at least she's ok and didn't hurt herself too bad..i wouldn't feel too bad..as my dh says..they have to learn somehow..you can't be under them every second of every day!

jcc64 replied: This happened to 8 yr old ds when he was a toddler. And back then, the high chairs were higher. He stood up, with me right next to him, but went over the opposite side before I could grab him, and landed on his head. Wound up with a concussion, eyes rolled back in his head, passed out, totally freaked me out. As I gathered my things to take him to the hospital, he woke up, smiled, and acted like nothing had just happened. But it was the single scariest moment in my parenting career to date!

Beccas_mom replied: Aww poor thing I hope she feels better soon!

Kirstenmumof3 replied: Thanks everyone! You would think that she would have learned not to stand up in her Highchair anymore! WRONG! She is still doing it, even with the belt on she can stand up! I don't turn my back anymore, I have her food right there on the table before I put her into her Highchair.

kimberley replied: omg! hugs to you both! grouphug.gif grouphug.gif glad she is okay!
