Cloth or disposables? - which do you use?

mckayleesmom replied: disposable....usually pampers.
PrairieMom replied: I'm a pampers gal too. I just recently bought a box of Luvs, and I know y-all swear by them, but I HATE THEM. I am such a diaper snob! There is no streatch to the waist band, and even tho I'm not the one who has to wear them, I can barely stand to put them on the Boy! Although, they so have blues clues on them, so he is thrilled!

Or just google a particular kind you want; lots of stores will come up. I use Fuzzi Bunz at night, and prefolds during the day with a wool soaker or Bummis snap cover.
coasterqueen replied: Disposables.
Prairiemom - I don't like Luvs either. I'm a pampers gal too.
3_call_me_mama replied: I use cloth. Pretty much a mix. Prefer Fuzzibunz and Bumkins. I have tried a bunch of different ones but liek these best . ALSO some WAHM made ones. i get mine off teh diaperpin or diaperswappers or sometimes ebay. Also a mothering site i go to has a traqding post that i trade OR I shop Abbyslane.com. She is wonderful and does layaway and such so I can get all teh diapers for teh new baby and pay over 3 months and then never buy diapers for about 18 months or more! She has great prices
1lilpeanut2love replied: We've done pampers since she was born. I love them. I really don't like Luvs either--JMHO!
punkeemunkee'smom replied: We used disposable. Huggies Supremes. I used all the other brands and liked those the best
~Roo'sMama~ replied: Disposables ~ Usually Huggies... I like them the best. I am ok with Pampers, but they are too perfumy and Andrew has gotten rashes from them. Plus they don't have the band at the top in the back like huggies do so poopy diapers leak out more. I don't like Luvs... Target brand diapers are ok.
C&K*s Mommie replied: I wanted to do the disposable thing and I was set on it. Until I realized 1) had to do the rinse in the toilet or sink thing. 2) possibly had to use pins for the fasteners, I could not find anything that had an easier way to fasten the diaper on besides pins.
If someone knows, please enlighten me so I will know from now on.
Celestrina replied: Same here - they fit the best and don't leak (at least in my experience).
3_call_me_mama replied: Nicole I assume you meant Cloth? We dont' use pins.... and I dont' dunk. LOL We have a sprayer that attaches to teh toilet that we rinse the diapers off with. adn we use diapers that are velcro or snap closure. I'll post a picture of what i'm talkign about. They are just liek a disposable except you rinse and wash. They are all one piece or some that we ues have a pocket in teh back and you stuff them with a liner afte ryou wash them. That way you cna decide how absorbant you want them . IF you use prefolds or flat diapers they have a littel elastic thing that you sort of hook on and it keeps them closed. (Called a snappi) here's a AIO (All in one ~ with velcro)
3_call_me_mama replied: and here's teh pocket with snaps (Most types come in either snaps or velcro (Also called aplix)
MamaJAM replied: Disposables for us....there are some things I'm unwilling to deal with.
My2Beauties replied: Hanna is PT'd now but we always used disposables. I went to a friend's baby shower a couple weeks back and she was talking about how disposable diapers weren't as common when her kids were growing up so she had to use cloth a lot, and she talked about how disgusting and gross they were and how she always hated them. I don't know if that's true, but I could only imagine the messes and the stains that won't come out. JMHO!
luvbug00 replied: used ganeric dipers ( targets rock!) but was thinking of swiching to cloth for my next child... will definately use a diper washing service if i go that route because well..i'm lazy..
Bee_Kay replied: I started Ashley out on Pampers, but she broke out from them, so I switched to LUVS. They were so cute, little pink rosebuds on them.
Tyler wore Pampers.
ashtonsmama replied: I tried using cloth in the beginning with Ashton, but it was just too much work for me, and he doesn't have tpo sensitive of a bottom, so disposables are ok for us. We loved Pampers Snugglers, now we just use regular Pampers.
Maddie&EthansMom replied: I'm so glad I've never had any problems with the cheap diapers. Both kids were able to wear Luvs with no leaks at all. And Ethan wears the Target diapers...they are great! And SO dirt cheap.
Cece00 replied: This is the same for me!
holley79 replied: I use strictly Pampers. Everything else leaks on her little bum. A friend of mine just gave me a box of kushies. I am going to try those out like on the days that I'm off. I'm not a huge fan of laundry but I figured I would try them out and see how I like them.
Brias3 replied: I don't use diapers anymore (luckily) but all three kids were in disposables.
