I have 2 pairs of pants that fit and thank goodness several new sweaters from Christmas. rolleyes.gif Most of my old shirts don't fit because of nursing if you KWIM. rolling_smile.gif Winter is almost over here in Vegas so I'm sol wacko.gif Money is tight right now or I would just go buy new stuff. There are almost always decent clothes in thrift shops, at yard sales, or at consignment shops. You may have to dig some, but you could luck up. In TLH there is a Goodwill that is nearby to a well-known part of town that has many wealthy people. Many residents shop there since that is where alot of the nicer merchandise can be found.

Best wishes!

I second this suggestion. We have a thrift shop that sells name brand clothes - Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, etc. - some of them new with the tags still on - for $5 - $10 an article of clothing. It also sells non - name brand clothes for great deals - I got a new pair of workout pants for $.50 just the other day.

Your Underclothes fit!!! biggrin.gif ....LOL!

I waged all our war with EVERYTHING in my closet! Nothing fit, after I had my daughter my maturity scanties were too big and my pre baby stuff..........such a lost cause!

I agree with everyone who suggested thrift shops or consignment stores. I was very lucky, I found a baby clothes consignment shop which also had a section for women’s and maternity clothes. I think most everything both my daughter and I were wearing for at least six months came from that store. We even got an expensive, name brand snowsuit for next to nothing. That place was a Godsend because our finances were really tight and I was tired of wearing the one or two things in my closet that fit while I was loosing the baby bulge. Good Luck!

MommyToAshley replied: BTDT.... actually I am still there.

I had my DD three years ago, and I am still not down to my pre-pg weight. blush.gif None of my clothes fit, but I refused to buy new stuff until I lost weight. I finally gave in and bought some new stuff, and wouldn't you know it ... I lost weight. Now my new stuff is too big and my old Pre-PG stuff still doesn't fit. I am hopeless.

Sorry, didn't meant to take over your vent, but it sure did feel better to get that out. I am sure you will have better success with your weight loss goals than I do. I am just not very disciplined when it comes to working out.... I am not one that sees working out as relaxing or fun. blush.gif blush.gif

Bee_Kay replied: I agree with the consignment shop / thrift store idea.

I love browsing and shopping at thrift stores.

We have a pretty nice consignment shop in the town where I live (very small town, nearest decent place to shop is like 2 1/2 hours away). Anyways, the lady there just gets on my nerves with her prices though!! growl.gif

She will go to a large city and buy a bunch of name brand clothing for next to nothing at like Salvation Army or Goodwill.

She bring them here and she will sell a A&F or Aero sweatshirt for like $35 !! I'm like, "ma'ma? this stuff is SECOND HAND" LOL!!

It's crazy! But, once in a while I, or my daughters will find a pretty good deal.

NEWMOM05 replied: Thanks ladies. I think I will try A thrift store. We have a DI and a Goodwill pretty close to us. DH has a thing with Thrift stores, but I need clothes. I can't go around in my garments laugh.gif

Deedee I agree with you about excercise. Also right now I have this health problem that I suffer from Extreme fatigue. I'm lucky if my hubby has clean cloths when he needs them.

Please vent away.

Bee_Kay replied: My daughter and I went out to lunch today, and afterwards she decided to cash one of her income tax checks and she wanted to check out some stuff at a thrift store.

So, we go there and look around and I came across some maternity items (I was there a couple weeks ago looking for maternity clothes and they had NOTHING). Anyways, so I found some maternity clothes and had her come and look.

She got 1 brand name pair of maternity jeans, 1 black pair of maternity slacks, and about 8 - 10 maternity tops (short and long sleeve) and also an American Eagle purse, all for $50.00. Every single item was in BRAND new condition.

She was thrilled because she only has one pair of jeans that still fit her.

Anyways, how's that for a deal ??? smile.gif

kimberley replied: wavey.gif right there with ya sista. i am still wearing mat clothes since 1 pair of jeans i had fit yet rolleyes.gif
