Crest White Strips

mckayleesmom replied: They work a little...but like all of the whiteners..you have to keep doing it if you eat or drink stuff that stains your teeth. The crest also has slow results in my opinion....I used the rembrant whitening kit and it worked really really fast. I only did it twice and I was afraid if I did it again they would look too white.
My3LilMonkeys replied: I have been thinking of trying them but hesitant to spend the $ without knowing they work - let us know how things turn out!
Also, has anyone had any luck with strips on crooked teeth? I have VERY crooked teeth and I am afraid they wouldn't go on right and would leave parts of my teeth whitened and parts not, KWIM?
mckayleesmom replied: Maybe the kind that you brush on ....the nighttime Crest you brush on.
CAMSMOM1 replied:
I'm curious about this too. How much does the Rembrant Kit cost? And how long do you have to do it?
~Roo'sMama~ replied: Did you use the rembrandt strips, or the gel? I've been wanting to do something, and only having to use it a couple times sounds nice to me... I don't want to do too much damage to my teeth.
mckayleesmom replied: I used the gel....There are different ways you can do it. There is a fast way and a slower way if your teeth are more sensitive to that stuff. Im not sure how much it costs...My mother in law gave it to me to try...she had some left over...She only used a couple of the tubes. I also only put a small amount in the retainers and rubbed in accross the things. If I remember correctly...I did it for 30 minutes....brushed and then did it again for 30 minutes.....I think I was suppose to do it 3 times, but 2 was good enough.
But...like I said before....If you still eat foods that make your teeth turn...then you will have to use it again. I drink alot of pop...so that is my downfall.
CAMSMOM1 replied: THanks for the tips! I drink alot of soda too, so I'm not sure if it would be worth the money, if it'll just turn yellow again. KWIM? But I'm sure they'll still look better than they did before.
How long after you used them, that you noticed your teeth turning yellow again? How long did it last?
mckayleesmom replied: Id say that I do it about once a month.....It is worth it if you only need it that much....the rembrant stuff comes in tubes and you only have to put a thin layer on So you don't even use a whole tube of it and it comes with 5-6 tubes I think. I only do it once a month because I watched a 20/20 special once and it said that the teeth whitening stuff they sell over the counter is ok to use ever couple weeks, but not too much all at once...it breaks down your teeth enamal.
kit_kats_mom replied: I have a TON of them under my sink. DH bought some and so did I but they made both of our teeth over sensitive. Mine hurt for two days after I quit using them.
mckayleesmom replied: Which ones did you use? After I used the rembrant ones...I used the Sensadine toothpaste just in case afterwards and nothing happened...With the Crest...I didn't and they were really sensitive./
luvmykids replied: I 100% swear by the Listerine Whitening Rinse and Ultra Brite toothpaste. I've used everything and had them professionally done too. You don't have to do anything other than you regularly do everyday and it's cheap stuff.
mckayleesmom replied: I love the listerine too....I usually do the rembrant once a month and touch up with the listerine.
C&K*s Mommie replied: I had the same experience as Brianne with the WhiteStrips. You have to watch what you eat & drink for the results to last. It is great for quick whitening for special occassions. Other than that, you may have to eliminate many foods/drinks (spaghetti sauces, red wines, coffee, tea, soda) from your diet.
I love the results that Aquafresh Extreme Clean gives my teeth. They are not brilliant white, but they are not coffee stained yellow either. I notice a difference when I have brushed my teeth with that toothpaste.
interribleplain replied: Oh my gosh the best stuff ever for whitening teeth is GOsmile!! The kit I use comes with gel you paint on, and morning and night toothpaste (you don't have to use all of these things though, you can just do the gel, but I got the best kit they had hehe). After just one application you can see amazing results. I LOVE this stuff. It is $$ but it gets the job done. I can say I have never loved my teeth more. Plus, there is absolutely no sensitivity with these. Go check out the info about them at least (and no, I am not getting anything for saying this stuff about GOsmile, I'm not spamming here ) I just really love this stuff! I got my GOsmile kit at skinstore.com (which I also love, but that is a whole other story).
I actually fell in love with GOsmile after getting a free sample of it from that site... maybe if you all ask they will send you a free sample of GOsmile? I bought something and it had a sample with it, and after that one application I loved the results, like I said. But they may be able to send you a free sample without you buying anything. It can't hurt to ask!
