DH update and more...

It is cancer but it was caught very early, it hasn't spread and they're confident that it was all removed when they removed his testicle. They want him to do a round of chemotherapy to reduce the chances of it coming back There is a 20% chance of it coming back if he doesn't do chemo and if he does it the odds go down to 3%.

So I guess since he had the one testicle removed that it means I can only drive him "half" nuts now...

The doc said we could go on our vacation and he can do the chemo once we're back. So we're leaving Saturday to come back to the US!!!!

We have TONS to do to prepare for the trip so I don't know if I'll be back on much before we go. We'll be back at the end of Sept. so I'll check in then and hope someone will still remember me.

Cece00 replied: I'm glad everything went OK! Good luck to your family during your DH's chemo. Tell him to ask for Zofran for the nausea if he gets ill, my husband said it was a life saver when he was having multiple rounds of chemo.

I am glad you still get to go on vacation. Where exactly in the US are you going? Anywhere near Ohio?

We are going to Connecticut first and will stay with my friend in Simsbury. The 8 - 10 we'll go to Storyland in New Hampshire. On the 12th we fly to Denver and will be there until the 22nd. Then we fly to Oklahoma for a few days. From there we will drive to Dallas and fly back to Zurich from there.

I don't think we'll need the toys, but THANK YOU SO MUCH for thinking of us and making the offer. They won't have many toys while we're in Denver but from what my mom and aunt have told me we have so many plans that they won't need any. If they need something then that just means I get to buy some.
