DOG Has been arrested!

Crystalina wrote: Twelve US Marshalls came into his house and got him out of bed. They took him, Leland and Youngblood. The US is hand them over to Mexico for the charge 3 YEARS AGO! mad.gif I can't find a link but it's when they went over to Mexico and got the rapist. Bounty hunting is against the law in Mexico. mad.gif I can't belive the US would hand him over. They say it's because Mexico always helps us with criminals that flee there. growl.gif

redchief replied: Dog knew the chance he was taking when he captured a person over international lines. Too bad.

C&K*s Mommie replied: irony.

stella6979 replied:
Now that is just stupid! They got a rapist off the streets for crying out loud. If anything, Mexico should be giving them all medals for helping to keep their country safe.

mckayleesmom replied: Well...sorry, I love Dog, but he broke the law......Do the crime, do the time. Its only fair.

CantWait replied: laugh.gif laugh.gif Looks like the tables have been turned. emlaugh.gif emlaugh.gif emlaugh.gif

mckayleesmom replied:
Mexico does usually cooperate with us and we should do the same. If our country lets him get away with a crime in their country, then they will no longer cooperate anymore. This is keeping things on track in both countries. Dog and his men knew it was a crime. They expect others to pay for theirs, so why shouldn't they pay for their crimes?

Its sucks though....Leland is HOT.

Crystalina replied:
No doubt. It's not like he was going after someone for writing bad checks. This guy was wanted by everyone and Dog found him.

And yes Ed, I do agree he knew what he was doing but when he takes someone into custody he ends up trying to help the person and is very nice to them. Sometimes even getting rid of evidence that could further harm the persons case (needles, drugs, ect.) and these Marshals practically broke down the door (Beth was just interviewed) and they ripped him out of his bed while his children were getting ready for school. Now do they really think he would have ran? dry.gif Do they really think that Dog would try to assault a US Marshall? Beth said they had guns drawn! ohmy.gif Please. And the US can help all these illegals in our country but they are so quick to turn over a man that has gotten so much scum off the streats and he does it with true concern for them because of his own experiences. The US should have tried a bit harder. That's my opinion though. Gotta keep Mexico happy as always. dry.gif

mckayleesmom replied:
Also..they were arrested in Mexico when it happened....so it sounds like they got bonded out and the warrants are probably for not appearing in court....That is what they hunt people down for....so if that is what they did, then they kind of broke their own law in a way.

Who is to say that Mexico won't be nice to them? They will probably be out in a timely manner too.

My2Beauties replied: I'm really having a blonde moment, who on earth is Dog and what did he do? This is the first time I've ever heard of this. blush.gif unsure.gif

mckayleesmom replied:
Dog The Bounty Hunter

He has a show on A&E...Where they follow him around catching people that skipped out on their bail. 3 years ago he became famous for catching the Max Factor Air Andrew Lester...who date raped a bunch of girls. They went to mexico to get him and were arrested after they caught him because Bounty Hunting is illegal in Mexico.

redchief replied:
I think maybe you mistook what I said. I think the Dog and company are a riot. Gotta love ex-cons going the straight and narrow so extremely. That being said....

...Federal marshals don't like bounty hunters. They consider them only slightly better than vigilantes and consider them dangerous. Some of that may have to do with how bad bounty hunters make federal officers look. I'm not defending what the marshals did in any way; I'm just stating the facts as I see them. Federal marshals are the cowboys of the federal police force; everything they do seems to be a bit on the dramatic side, so I'm not surprised at their methods.

I'm also not defending the Dog. In this, he was wrong. He knew he was wrong and his prime motive for breaking the law was the money he was out. If he doesn't follow the rules, then he's no better than the people he's chasing down.

ashtonsmama replied:
I was wondering too.
wink.gif

redchief replied: Heheh... I forgot to add... His "Dogisms" crack me up. Nothing quite hits your funnybone like a wrestler looking, muscle bound, tatooed, long-haired, leather wearing ex-con giving someone tripped out on meth advice on family values.

Crystalina replied: Ed, I was not meaning to be confontational with your post (not that you said I was but I just want to say it anyway. wink.gif ) Seeing as how I kept everything in the same paragraph it probably seemed everything was meant for you. Sorry. I agree that he did wrong but I do not agree with how the Marshalls treated him (according to a crying Beth on MSNBC). They have since been interveiwed and have a differant story so who do you believe?

mckayleesmom~I've heard nothing but bad things about Americans in Mexican prisons. I've never had the pleasure of visiting one myself. happy.gif I'm just sure he will not be accepted by the other inmates with open arms. Maybe they will seperate him but I doubt it. Hopefully he is out soon. He was arrested in Mexico originally for this but why would they wait 3 yrs after the fact to do something about it? I don't get that part.

luvbug00 replied:

ditto and I think it stinks!

punkeemunkee'smom replied:

Although this is a lovely thought-it is unfortunately not always true...take the case of Shelia Belish for example-her ex-husband hired a hit man to kill her,he wanted her maimed and then murdered. the Ex hired a guy who hired a guy,Joey Del Torro-from San Antonio- who drove to Flordia and carried out this crime in the sight of her young toddler QUADS then left her body for her 15 year old daughter to find along with her brothers and sisters soaked in their mothers blood....NOw this crime was a capital punishment (death penalty) crime and it should have been but since he fled to Mexico they refused to extradite him until the US agreed to not try him with the death penalty as a punishment....Take also for example the reports that play consistantly on our news about men in Mexican military uniforms bringing drugs and illegals across our borders. There has recently been humvees with prisoners that can not be held in their jails due to over crowding brought and dumped on the US side of the border....not exactly the type extradiction we need! Dog(not that I care, don't know him) brought a man that our country had been 'looking' for for years-a man who taped himself raping women and getting away with it because he had enough money to run! The ONLY reason Mexico is pissed off is because Andrew Lester was spending alot of $$$ in their country and now he isn't.....

mckayleesmom replied:
I read the book on that.....and the reason they didn't extradite him in the book is because they had not yet proven he did it and he refused to talk. They had to get The first guy...his cousin...to implicate him. Also..if I remember right...its been a while since I read the book...he origionally got arrested in their country for something else.

punkeemunkee'smom replied: Joey Del Toro Here is the link if you want to read it yourself but it reads in part:

Prosecutors said that Del Toro drove to Florida in a car registered to his grandmother. He stopped at a Sports Authority to buy camouflage clothes and at a gas station to get directions to the Bellush's Sarasota home.

Del Toro broke into the house and waited for Mrs. Bellush to come home. He shot her in the face with a .45-caliber gun and then stabbed her twice.

Afterward, he called his cousin, Samuel Gonzales to tell him that the job was done and that he was on his way back to Texas to collect his $4,000.

Days later, Texas police arrested Gonzales and another man involved in the murder, Daniel Alex Rocha.

Gonzales, 29, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit murder in June 1998. He was sentenced to 19 years in prison. Rocha was convicted of first-degree murder in January 1999. He is serving a life sentence for his role in the murder.

Prosecutors said that Blackthorne asked Rocha, his golfing buddy, to find a hit man to bludgeon Mrs. Bellush. Rocha, 30, testified he contacted his friend Gonzales, who hired his cousin, Del Toro.

About three weeks after Mrs. Bellush was killed, Del Toro was captured in Mexico, where he had fled to avoid prosecution. Del Toro told Mexican authorities he was in the Bellush home, had hit the woman and left her unconscious -- but not dead. According to court records, Del Toro claimed someone he knew only as "Jorge" killed Mrs. Bellush.

He spent 20 months in a Mexican prison while a tug-of-war between United States and Mexican officials ensued. U.S. officials agreed to waive the death penalty in exchange for his extradition.

Since she was from San Antonio and her Ex still is here it was huge story down here....I remeber the family on the news pleading with Mexico to send him back to the states so that they could see justice done

holley79 replied: To be totally honest I don't like him.

Crystalina replied:
It's not really about liking Dog himself. IMO. To me it is a bounty hunter doing his job (even a no name bounty hunter). I totally understand he was out of bounds when he went to Mexico to get this rapist but it was fine for the US to take over after he was caught. They ended up getting their man because of a bounty hunter being out of place. What I don't understand is how they can easily turn the bounty hunter who helped them over to Mexico without even a second thought.
