Daycare called me to day to pick up Teagan - 104.2 fever!

Well she got another cold this week, and last night she woke up with a slight fever. I took her to school and told them I thought she was getting another ear infection and if she got a fever to call me. Well they called me at work in a panic saying she had a fever of 103.5 and was listless. Needless to say I hauled a** to her school and called her pediatrician on the way to tell them we needed to come in. They tried telling me they were booked but I could wait until 5 when they had walk in hours. I said, "No, we need to come in right now"! I took her to the Dr. and she has an ear infection in her left ear, and a red throat. Her fever was 104.2 at the Dr.'s. So now she is on antibiotics for 10 days. My poor baby..

punkeemunkee'smom replied: Oh bless her heart!!! She will be in our prayers...I don't know if they told you but you can alternate Tylenol and Motrin every 4 hours to keep fever and pain down!

Motrin @ 7
Tylenol @ 11


Poor baby I hope she gets well soon! Also a mixture of 10 drops of rubbing alcohol to 12 drops of Cephacol (throat spray) does wonders for the pain in their ears...just 2-3 drops in each ear about every 6 hours massaged in gently...it helps!

NikkiM replied: AWWW I hope she feels better soon! Madison has an ear infection and sinus infection... Logan has a sinus infection.... tis the season! I am proud to say that this is her first ear infect and she is almost 13 months. First time on anti's ick!

TeagansMom609 replied: I swear Tylenol is the worst medicine ever. It works soooooo slow on high fevers. It takes like 2 hours to start working. It seems Infant Advil is the only thing that works well. It lasts longer too. I know when im sick or have back pain Tylenol doesnt do squat. Advil works wonders!!
