luvmykids wrote: This year it starts March 11 and runs to November 4 ohmy.gif thumb.gif

Maddie&EthansMom replied: Isn't it always Easter weekend or am I losing it? laugh.gif

luvmykids replied:
It's usually the first Sunday in April (I think, or the second) and the last one in October. From what I can find it's because of trying to conserve energy although I'm not sure what that has to do with it blush.gif

Twelve Volt Man replied: Wow... I wasn't sure I believed it, but you're absolutely correct. Thanks. That's the inspiration I needed!

luvmykids replied:
I didn't either, I had to google it rolling_smile.gif

A&A'smommy replied: I know thats crazy... thats the day before my birthday!!

BAC'sMom replied: really! ohmy.gif wink.gif tongue.gif

skinkybaby replied: Thats all I've been hearing about for the past few weeks. My husband works in IT and he says for a lot of companies its causing more problems than Y2K. He said its crazy.

C&K*s Mommie replied: I am with you Monica, I do not understand how it will conserve more energy this way. If God/Mother Nature determines that it will be lighter later/earlier than what does DST and energy conservation have to do with? I turn lights on in the house according to how dark it is outside. huh.gif

HuskerMom replied:
I didn't even notice til now.

Calimama replied: Wow I'm so out of it. I need to watch the news more. rolleyes.gif

C&K*s Mommie replied: Just thought about this... this is an early warning to set clocks ahead on 3/10, so we all will not be late the next day.

luvmykids replied:
rolling_smile.gif You are such a BRAT!

coasterqueen replied: Yeah, a provision to the Energy Policy Act of 2005 was passed to change it. I didn't even know it til a few weeks ago myself.

siblingtooolivia replied: yep, keep an eye on your computers and any kind of on line calendars you use, most computers won't adjust the time properly cause they won't know it changed, there is no program on most computers to accomodate it.......
