Debt Diet - July 26

coasterqueen wrote: Ok, today is a bad day for my debt diet because I had a date with the organic meat man to get our meat, which I HOPE lasts a month. It better! Anyways, it cost me $108.21 plus $40 for the annual membership fee. So a total of $148.21.

I also need to get milk and paper plates at the store. I am also going to go buy Kylie a pair of shoes today. I saved my spending money to do this. smile.gif

AlexsPajamaMama replied: Nooo money spent today! Yippeee!
Last night we went to Pizza Hut for dinner, that was $17

PrairieMom replied: I'm not spending a dime today! thumb.gif

Momof3inMe replied: I am home for the rest of the week so I dont think I will be spending anything until the weekend.

AlexsPajamaMama replied:
feels good to not spend money doesn't it!?

holley79 replied: Looks like you all are doing great. I have been on a debt diet since Annika was born. emlaugh.gif

coasterqueen replied: Ok, grocery store cost me $20.00 exactly and shoes for Kylie (cheap shoes obviously, lol) cost me $14.00

So $34.00 plus the meat this morning put my total at $182.21.

That's really NOT bad because the meat is figured in the grocery budget and I used my spending money which I get every week to get the other groceries that were not figured in grocery budget and for Kylie's shoes. smile.gif Course now I have NO spending money til Friday, so I obviously won't be spending anything til then. tongue.gif

PrairieMom replied:
After starting lst week I figured I saved $200. the thing is that I don't even miss what ever it was I would have spent the $ on. laugh.gif

Cece00 replied: I will spend NO $$$$ today.

I also paid off ALL my credit card debt yesterday =) Now the ONLY debt we have is a loan that is about $2900 and will be paid off in about 10 months or LESS.

Thanks, Tara.

I know, it feels pretty awesome.

I've already threatened my husband's life if he charges something that IS NOT an emergency or without my permission to our 2 credit cards. They are now for EMERGENCY purposes only.

PrairieMom replied: Alright, we haddn't planned on spending and $, but we had to fork out $2.00 for Gentian violet. growl.gif

Our Lil' Family replied: Spent $14 on fruits and veggies and $97 at WalMart....not happy about that, don't have much to show for it. Most of it was for Friday night cookout that we're having. I shouldn't have offered to do it all myself I guess.

Oh well.

Tomorrow will be costly too. $5 for Mother's Day Out. Going shopping to look for an outfit for bf's wedding rehearsal next weekend and earings for the wedding...that also means lunch out. Oy!

3_call_me_mama replied: OK we're back from vacation. (this is spending from July 21-26)
We spent abotu $200 on random things that were a waste. and then
$80 on gas, $63 on admission to story land, $20 on lunch for 5 (we had a friend witrh us) $5 each kid on a souvenir (BUT Meme gave them money so I'm not counting it tongue.gif ) $3.00 on tolls, Yesterday we went to Pac Safari and my mom treated SO we spent $20 on icecream and that is all. (her total was MUCH higher )
Great savings to those who have.
The hard thing with this for me is there really isn't anyhting that we usually do that costs money. (like coffee's or moms day out or things like that) BUT we are cutting our grocery bill a bit, and not using CC so the interest is a savings alone! (Grocery bill is very hard wth the organics, but it's gonna be an effort!)
