GavinsMommy replied: Cool!!! I'm going to get one, thanks for posting that link wink.gif I should have gotten a sling like that long ago! I LOVE to wear Gavin but I have a snugli and it's really weighing on my back now. Plus he doesn't like how he is positioned when I'm sitting down. He nurses NON STOP so that will be great for me... wub.gif

I'm glad you're enjoying your sling and your new baby!!! wub.gif wub.gif

Daisyx3 replied: I always wanted one. I used to make my own with to blankets so i could nurse Dutch in the Store.. Everytime I walked in the Grocery store he was starving no matter if he just ate 20 min ago lol.

texasp3 replied: That is a nice looking one... how big/heavy can kids be and still be carried in that one, do you know? I looked through the product website, and although it has "wearing your Toddler" directions, it doesn't give a weight limit.

I hip carry Gabriel in a rebozo around the house quite a bit.. Gabriel likes it when he's tired but not quite ready to sleep. He's 13 months old and weighs about 25 pounds and walks very well, so most of the time he prefers to be down doing his own thing.

Jamison'smama replied: I LOVE my sling--it is a fleece pouch from KangarooKorner.com

Jack is in here at about 3 weeks old--he is nice and tucked away.

Isabelita replied: I used to carry my daughter around in a sling/wrap all the time. They are wonderful things!

mammag replied: Someone gave me a sling and Keegan never liked it. I don't know if I just wasn't doing it right but everytime I put him in it he fussed. I still have it and would love to be able to use it in the sitting up position if I could figure it out.

I was so excited when I got it too! sad.gif

GavinsMommy replied:
What kind is it??? Do you know what it's called?

mammag replied: It's the NoJo Babysling...

MyBlueEyedBabies replied: It looks great. I was a big fan of the baby bjorn with Matt but always wanted to try a sling for nursing.

Jamison'smama replied:
I had the NoJo and the Maya Wrap with Jamison and I used it for the hip carry after she was about 6 months. Here is a link to the website with instructions.

Different positions

I used the Kangaroo carry and the hip straddle more than the others when she
was older.

The key when they are little is to put them in then get moving--they may fuss for a few minutes the first few times--until you and the baby get the hang of getting them in there but usually once you get walking--they are soothed. I do know of some babies who never liked it but my high needs daughter and more laid back baby boy have responded well.

mammag replied: Thank you!!! I'll have to give it a try today and see how he does. I think I'll try the Kangaroo since he likes to look around and be active.

0-10andbackagain replied: I think it goes to 35 pounds. Not sure.

coasterqueen replied:
Maybe that's my problem Brenda. I should just get moving and maybe Megan will take to the sling. I'm always afraid I'm going to break her with her being so small and she is kind of noodle-y in it. She fusses so I immediately take her out. I'll try your tip. Thanks wink.gif
