Did the time change have any effect on your baby?
MommyToAshley wrote: I split the difference last night. Normally I put Ashley to bed at 8:00 but last night I put her to bed at 7:30 (which is 8:30 the old time). She went to bed fine. But, this morning she got up at 6:45... uggh...which is actually 7:45 the old time. (She normally gets up between 7:30 and 8:00) I think she is going to start getting up at 6:30ish now because it doesn't matter what time I put Ashley to bed, she always gets up at the same time. I don't know how to get her to stay in bed an hour later. I guess we will have to wait for the next time change, hehe.
Kirstenmumof3 replied: Well the time change has actually been great for us! Claudia is sleeping through the night FINALLY! I put her to bed last night at 8:30 (9:30 old time) and she slept until 6:00 (7:00 old time)! She never sleeps this long, she has always gotten up at 5:00! So this was great for me because I actually did get that extra hour to sleep!
victoire2002 replied: Aidan went down at 7:30 (8:30 old time) and up at 7:00a (8:00a), so he's on his old schedule, just pushed back an hour! It's great because it will get DH up and to work EARLIER in the a.m.!! He has a real problem getting to work on time, for some reason moves as slow as molasses in the a.m.
Heather replied: No, not really. We put her to bed, at 8:30 last night and she slept until 7:20. Well, not all the way through, she continues to get up at night. But, thankfully, she is getting up the same time!! WHEW!
Hillbilly Housewife replied: Well........the baby is fine, but I"M NOT!!
First off, we completely FORGOT about the time change. So I woke up on my own Sunday morning, something I NEVER get to do, and wen I looked at the clock it said 8:44. I just about flipped out, because Zach NEVER sleeps in that late. DH had gotten up woth him around 5:30(our time) and put him back to bed, as usual, but usually Zach wakes up again around 7am (our time) then is up for the day. I jhumped out of bed (not a good idea - I think I pulled a muscle in my back) and went to check on him. He was sleeping like a baby! lol
I went back to bed, relieved, and of course, Zach woke up like 5 minutes later...
but we were so off all day. We didn't realize it was time change until around 12....because we got invited to DH's mom's for lunch...she told us we'd be eating around 12:30. So at 11:30 (our time), we head out to the dollar store to get some frames for the pictures we had printed for them, and realize, in teh store, that is was only 10:30.
Boy were we feeling dumb.... Heh heh
aspenblue1 replied: Isabella went to be at 6:30 last night we couldn't keep her up any longer and she woke up at 6:00 this morning. She is still on old time she used to go to bed between 7:30-8:00 and wake up around 7:00 or 7:30.
Kaitlin'smom replied: So much for the extra hour sleep....I am working with her to get her to bed a little later easch ngith so she will get up a little later. She was up at 6a on sunday morning...oy. I knew then it would be a problem. Last night she went to bed at 7p (8 old time). up at 5:30a (6:30 old time.) Hopeing tonight to get a little later. I am hoping no more than a week or so and she will get adjusted.
coasterqueen replied: Well yesterday the time change wasn't so great. Kylie got up at 6 am, which was actually 7 am, BUT that is better than usual, lol. It's just we were out late the night before, lol.
Last night she was sooo tired at 7:30 pm so we put her to bed. She usually goes to bed at 8 pm. This morning I thought for sure she would be up by 5 am (which would have been 6, normal time she gets up) but she didn't get up til 6:30 am !!! YAY!!!
It doesn't matter what time I put Kylie to bed, either, she ALMOST ALWAYS wakes up at the same time, 6 am. I wish she would sleep later on the weekends, but her normal time is okay on the weekdays.
Schnoogly replied: Yep, he fell asleep at 7 instead of 8 and woke up at 5 instead of 6. Oh great! I'm going to try to keep him up until 8 tonight in hopes he'll go back to sleeping until 6.
Maddie&EthansMom replied: She is just waking up earlier, but that is okay...I need to wake up earlier, too. She really isn't on a bedtime schedule so I wouldn't know the difference! LOL!
Did anyone else feel like yesterday was never going to end??? It seemed like the longest day. Today, too. Usually by the time I pick Maddie up at 2 the time has gone by rather quickly, but today it seems like I have more time.
MomToJade&Jordan replied: We don't change the clocks in Hawaii so we don't have any messup in the routine. We have lived here over 2 years and I don't miss Daylight Savings.
MommyToAshley replied: Just another reason for me to be jealous of the fact that you live in Hawaii!
DansMom replied: He woke up an hour earlier than usual---but this is all good! I've been getting in late to work almost every day, 15 or 20 minutes. Today I was early!
ediep replied: It didn't have any effect on Jay because he slept an hour later on Sunday morning, so he woke up at regular time!!
MomToJade&Jordan replied: LOL!!!!! I have been trying to convince everyone that they have to come out here. We can take over this island if there's enough of us.
CantWait replied: well Anthony is now going to bed at 8:30 (not bad) but instead of getting up at 6:30am it's 5:30

asaka replied: Kaitlyn went down at her usual time of 8pm (previously 9pm) and woke up at 6.45am (previously 7.45am) on Sunday & Monday morning, but this morning she got up at 6.15am (previously 7.15am) - ugh, that's too early! Put her back to bed, but she was wide awake and back in our room within 15 minutes, so we brought her into the bed with us for a little while, and then I got up with her. We will have to see how it goes.
jem0622 replied: Sunday was the longest day ever. Hard on everyone. I am pushing their routines back in 15 minute increments every day or so and it is working out very well. Almost back to normal!
I am getting in to work with little fuss. But everyone seems to be in a funk here. Maybe we'll all be right by Halloween.
