Didn't get it - the job

CantWait wrote: It was really close between me and the girl that did get it, but they offered it to her. They did say they would keep my resume on file as they are thinking of hiring someone in the fall.

I don't know if I want to work outside of the home though. I was thinking about it, and I'd only be making $8 an hour in comparrison to the $12 I was making before. I'd be paying at least $450-$5something in childcare, plus gas, and taxes. Basically I'd be taking no more then $500 a month home. Not to mention I'd come home tired all the time and not get to see my kids. I've been thinking and I've come to the conclusion that I'm going babysit one full-time, then another one part-time (before and after school) and that will bring me the same, if not more money then working full time. Wish me luck.

A&A'smommy replied: hug.gif I'm sorry you didn't get the job but it sounds like you got it figured out, good luck with the babysitting!!! thumb.gif

MommyToAshley replied: Sorry you didn't get the job, but sounds like a blessing in disguise. The babysitting seems like the perfect solution. Maybe you will be lucky and be able to babysit a child around the same age as Robbie or Anthony... that way they can have someone to play with.

amynicole21 replied: Childcare really makes the difference, doesn't it? I think you are making the smart choice. If it was about WANTING to get out of the house, then I would think that it would make sense, but it sounds like you'd rather be home with the kids so the extra money just doesn't make it worth while. Good luck with the babysitting option! thumb.gif

~Lynda~ replied: Well, good luck with everything. I think staying home is perfect. I work outside the home, but my Mom keeps Jinna so no child care costs.

BJ~Bre's Mommy replied: I am sorry you didn't get the job but just remember everything happens for a reason.

The extra costs involved with working outside the home isn't always worth having a job

luvmykids replied: I think you've got a better plan, best of luck! hug.gif

C&K*s Mommie replied: I was wondering if they offered you the job or not. hug.gif

CantWait replied:
I'm kinda in the middle with things. I'd like to stay home, but I know I'm going to go crazy being home all the time. As well I won't have the car everyday so I have to do a lot of outdoor things and things in the house.

At least working out of the house you get to meet people. I guess though I'm just going to have to start getting creative.

Thanks guys. blush.gif
