Do I have to wear hose?

ammommy replied: Are you wearing closed toed shoes? If you are, you should wear hose just for the comfort of your feet. If they are sandals or slingbacks you can go hose free.

Definitely closed toed! I live in Colorado and I hate open toe shoes in the fall and winter time anyway! So I see your point. DH suggested the knee highs with the clip on lingerie thingy...but I laughed at the thought of finding one of those in the maternity section!

ammommy replied: I was going to suggest knee highs, but didn't know how long the dress was. If you get queen size, they won't be so tight if you have swelling problems. That's how I got through work when preggo with Alec.

Hmmm, no swelling here and I'm embarassed to say I still don't fit into maternity small, but that's a thought. My dress is floor length, but do you think you would see the line of where the knee high stops? I don't really know names of fabric, but I guess sortof organza like...is that what it's called? Just a flowy thin material. I guess I can try it and see!

amymom replied: I would go with the knee highs. Noone will be able to tell and even if they did I bet many women will be wearing them.

TANNER'S MOM replied: I wear knee highs daily..no one can tell. Or you could try some really thin nude trouser type sock..on for your own comfort.

I would just grab some 2 for 99cents knee highs at Wal Mart..they dont look sexy but they work.

And no will see the line..and if they do..roll them down just a bit and u will be fine!

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Well I think I'm going to suck it up and wear the full hose! It's like 10 degrees or less here and snowing, so I imagine it will be VERY cold tonight and my dress is spaghetti strapped! Thanks for the advice!

MamaJAM replied: Is the dress long enough for knee highs? I hate pantyhose and refuse to wear them...but all of my skirts are mid-calf or longer - so when dressed up I always stick to knee highs.

It's long...I decided on hose since it's been snowing all day here. I'll just roll the waist down so my baby belly is exposed!
