Do you..?

Calimama wrote: Keep up with your daily weekday routine on weekends? I've recently become a SAHM and during the week I have a pretty set routine especially when it comes to cleaning and nap time. I straighten up the house, do dishes, laundry, vacuum, etc every morning and usually go over one more time before my hubby comes home. Lately I have noticed that during the weekend with my husband home, Bella doesnt nap on time, the house gets messy and I pay for it on Monday when it's time to "catch up". Anyway else's routine get knocked out on the weekends? Or is it just me? rolleyes.gif

mom2my2cuties replied: Saturdays are usually the "out of sorts" day..But Sunday is back on schedule smile.gif I only have 1 day of recovery, so unless Andrew is working a lot in the kitchen or I am not feeling well - things don't get too bad.

skinkybaby replied: Oh yeah. It used to irk the crap out of me, but I got over it after a while. I just had to remind myself that it's not the end of the world and I would rather the two of them have fun and spend quality time together than go crazy over the little stuff.

lisar replied: I work full time, so on the weekends its clean, clean, clean, Laundry, clean, cook, clean. I dont really have a routine. I normally clean and then go do whatever I have planned.

boyohboyohboy replied: i used to do like you, and clean daily, but now i have a routine of just one thing a day or one room a day, so that the rest of the time i am with the kids,,,and then on sat. we go to the library, and then come home and everyone takes a chore, my oldest "dusts" and my husband vacuums while holding the baby, and i do the bathrooms and the kitchen and the floors, and then sunday we all rest and i do laundry...
i dont feel so bumbarded with chores then, and after a while i was feeling like i was the only working 24 hrs a day, now it feels more balanced.

i have been a sahm for one yr.

moped replied: I am a schedule nazi - so yes always.

I work full time, so house schedule does not exist, but with Jack always

my2monkeyboys replied: When my Dh is home, nothing gets done! When he's off for more than 2 days in a row, I send him off somewhere so I can get my work done. laugh.gif

holley79 replied: Weekends are my weekends. That is my time to relax. Annika's schedule, Dh's and mine all gets out of whack. I pay for it Sunday night when I try to put Annika to bed.

CantWait replied: I veer a little on the weekends but for the most part, I stay on track. We're usually home anyway so it's not like there's an excuse. Monday is the day I'm usually to lazy to stay on scedule.

Boo&BugsMom replied: On some things yes, other things no. It depends on what it is.

Maddie&EthansMom replied: For the most part we are on the same routine. Of course Maddie isn't in school on Saturday so we normally run errands or what not. DH is only here on Sundays so our routine is a little off. We sit around more than usual, eat whenever and whatever we'd like and don't worry with cleaning too much. wink.gif

C&K*s Mommie replied: No, other than Sat picking up (not cleaning) and naps, everything is awry since Saturdays are "family days" and most of the time we are just relaxing or running around town. And Sundays are just a mess too. tongue.gif

I can always clean on Mondays. wink.gif

Hillbilly Housewife replied: Weekends we're a ltitle more lax... but we each have our morning and bedtime routines... and those get done every day no matter what, those include a little bit of picking up and cleaning... but only a few minutes worth, which is all we really need.
